spacious room delicious breakfast warm and friendly hosts great shower with excellent water pressure!
Plenty of tea coffee milk clean towels bottle water soap shampoo conditioner all free very friendly management
Excellent and kind owners who go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Great locale- 1 mile from the Royal Mile. Comfy bed.
The room was slightly smaller than I would've expected but it was still nice
Everything! Dave and Susan were great hosts, breakfast was lovely with a variety of options, the room was cosy but very well appointed - everything was right at our fingertips.
Very good location for us to visit Fringe venues and tourist spots - on the bus route, but also walkable. Hosts were very accommodating no request too big or too small. Lovely breakfast with great variety to choose from - loved freshly toasted waffles and crumpets.
The room was small, but they had fitted in everything you could need; lovely big towels; excellent breakfast; convenient for the centre with good bus service; very welcoming and friendly hosts.
With the window open, there was some noise from the road.
The owners were very helpful & friendly
Top notch Scottish hospitality - they will do everything in their power to accommodate you (in our case, gluten intolerance & veggie preferences). Nice breakfast with lots of fresh fruit, yogurt etc. High standard, newly renovated bathrooms. Bus stop outside the door (but it's just a mile to the city center). Free guest parking.
Nothing really. But be advised that Minto is a relatively busy street, and some rooms are small. But those are things that you know in advance, and it wasn't a problem for us at all.
Everything we could have needed was provided. Spotlessly clean. Wonderful breakfast, did not need much lunch! Dave even gave us 'breakfast to go' when we had to leave early to go to our games event in Glasgow. Microwave and fridge in room very useful. Fantastic selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc and my daughter loved the sweets. Very nice shower room with plenty of toiletries and lovely soft towels.
Poor TV signal. Room very narrow, I banged my knee several times getting past the beds to get to the kettle.
HOTEL WAS SUPER , CLEAN COMFY ROOMS, EXCELLENT CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST CATERING WITH EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF. OWNERS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL WILL RETURN NEXT YEAR
Breakfast is really good.Classic music on the background. Room is very comfortable. Good wifi. Excelent shower.
More expensive than the average.
Nice place and considering Edinburg is really expensive it's reasonably priced. Great breakfast and very nice hosts.
The room is ok for small and medium-sized people, but I guess that for bigger person it may be rather uncomfortable.
Susan and David are lovely hosts and genuinely caring about their guests. The rooms are very pleasant and the breakfast is good, tasty and served in a nice atmosphere. Parking is just outside and the distance to city centre is a steady walk but still not too far. Quick, reliable wifi is an extra plus.
In walking distance to bus shops extra.
Room small ,but seems that's what they are like in this area, photos on line can be misleading
Very nice traditional B&B. Very warm surrounding. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Great breakfast.
A little bit far from the city Centre...20-30 minutes walk, but many bus just in front.
Our hosts were very friendly & accommodating with insightful tips on where to eat locally. The breakfast menu was fantastic with a huge selection to choose from, the room excellently set out. The bed, although not a king size, was very comfortable. The location was a short walk into the city for all the main attractions, a bus out the front door.
The struggle to get heavy suitcases up/ down the steep flight of stairs. As people are getting taller, a double bed is no longer a suitable size.
Lovely B&B. Felt very pampered. Bottled water and chocolates left in the room every day. Room was immaculate and comfortable. Breakfast was a nice change from the traditional full English- fresh fruit, pastries, cheese, cold cuts, cereals, and yogurt. Our hosts, Susan and David, were helpful and accommodating. I would definately stay here again.
everything nice in room despite size, close to royal mile
Room 5 - we were offered this on the last night of our 3-night stay and it was spacious and overlooked the garden. Lovely lady owner, very friendly and chatty. Breakfast nice; although no "cooked breakfast" available, there was lots of choice otherwise.
Room 3! It was absolutely tiny - double bed against a wall so access only at one side, very little space in room generally. Nowhere to put cases, tiny amount of hanging space for clothes. We had to have one person sitting on the bed so the other could move about the room! Absolutely not "fit for purpose" as a double room - a single, at best.
The landlady was very friendly and helpful.
The room was uncomfortably small. No place to even move.
Wonderful breakfasts, not full English but more to our liking with yogurt meats and cheeses, jams and rolls, fruit, etc. The hosts were helpful and Susan was fun to chat with. Our room was large and comfortable, with a seating area for reading.
No complaints at all.
Great hosts, very welcoming would stay again.
Amazing hospitality! David and Susan could not do more for you to make your stay comfortable and thoroughly enjoyable. Facilities were lovely and clean and the breakfast truly satisfying!
