There was a lack of lounge facilities

Handy for the city centre, conference centre Royal Hall etc. Good pub with live music 5 mins walk away. Friendly family run hotel.

The stay was comfortable and provided all that I needed . Sue was helpful and friendly.

Very friendly staff, breakfast was prompt hot and lovely. Room was quiet cleaned to a very high standard and my personal space was respected. The best nights sleep I have ever had at a b&B. Highly recommended!

I was very pleased to have been upgraded from a single to a double en-suite at no extra cost, the owners were friendly and helpful, the location only a few minutes walk from the town centre, overall I would describe the Sherwood as a gem, and will return next time I am in Harrogate

Made very welcome and the owners, were very helpful. Just stayed just the one night, and the breakfast was fine.

My booking was for a single room, but in the end was a "double" on the third floor, no lift, but in reality this room would be very "tight" as a double. Not least the bath "room". As I was on my own, I felt "comfortable" using the toilet with the door open. Very small space used as a bathroom, especially using the toilet and wash basin. Shower was fine. Finally, as the room is on the third floor the eaves of the roof are in part of the room and over one side of the bed, with the resulting result of a banged head, when I "forgot". Should be a warning I think, or just use room 5 as a single room. In the end I slept on my "wrong" side to avoid another sore head.

Central location, about 10 minutes walk into centre. Friendly hosts, helpful with information about Harrogate and surrounding area. Excellent breakfast - choice of hot and cold food. My room, No. 6, was very comfortable and well-appointed.

Hosts very welcoming and thoughtful. Room was well designed with all the facilities one needs including generous supplies of milk and biscuits etc with the tea/coffee making equipment. It's an attractive old stone, traditional Yorkshire house in an pleasant quiet road within easy walking distance of the town, conference centre etc. The hosts gave us a parking pass for the whole day after our one night stay, which was very useful indeed. We were there for a family lunch party - others paid more than twice as much to be in bigger hotels and were not as pleased with them. Highly recommended.
