The food was good and the waiters were very attentive. The bed linen was stained and we had to change rooms. All bed lined was disgusting grey unironed and the towels were grey hard and thin with ragged edges. We felt dirty when we got up in the morning. The room was not clean and their was a dead fly on the toilet floor for two days I left it their to see if the cleaner would pick it up but no she did not. There were also toe nails on the bedroom floor, all in all we thought is was disgusting.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Rooms were large; showers worked properly and it was good to have a teapot not just teabags. The breakfast buffet was set out in a logical way so that one could find everything easily! The decor was very tired and made me think of an old people's home, even the very high armchairs in the rooms.

location on check in having £20.00 'held' on credit 'in case' we use the bar out of hours, we booked a double room, but had single beds and the sink and bath had long black hairs in-obviously not ours-when we first entered room, also I would not advertise the ''''pool''''' Also kept awake until past midnight with party in next room and dog barking in same room(42)

Location was beautiful We were told we could check in at 2pm, on arrival our room was not ready and we had to wait until 4.30pm to get into our room. I booked a double bed but we were given twin beds pushed together which parted and my husband fell through to floor. When I complained about bed I was told no other room available, I said had booked double bed and as this booking had been for our 1st wedding anniversary this was not the best start. I was told this was a problem with booking on the internet. We were moved to a different room on the second night but this did not make up for the bad room on the first night, the shower was dirty and when switched on the tray didn't drain well so was worried about flooding bathroom.Bath towels old and frayed, no hand towels or bath mat.Windows black mouldy frames. Lounge menu advertises sandwiches available 24hrs, when we asked for sandwiches at 10.30pm we were told chef finishes at 10 so could only have crisps. On checking out there were items on our bill we had not had so we had to dispute it. Totally disappointed, poor value for money and it ruined our weekend. Wallingford is beautiful but I would advise a different hotel.

lovely location and the new extension suites had a lovely view of the river certainly room 2 that is in the original building is very tired looking and in need of redecoration. this could equally be said of the main hotel building. it will make a beautiful hotel when decorated.

The public rooms were nice and confortable. The full english breakfast was good. Well done for providing free wifi, these days it is a must have. I was in room 1 in the main building which was very tired and smelled a little foisty/damp.

Room had a great view of the river. Lovely to have two armchairs in the room. Breakfast was fine apart from the hot breakfast which was poorly cooked. Room was in definite need of TLC. Large cracks in ceiling, marks on carpet, large cracks in cups. Headboard loose, kept banging on the wall. We had no hot water in the morning. Then told by staff to run for 10 mins but still none.

The hotel is located on the Thames, nice view off the bridge. The staff were very efficient and professional. The rooms, decor and furniture were very dated and the rooms had a musky smell, although it was very clean. I think it could do with a re vamp. We stayed one night for a Xmas party. It served our purpose.
