We liked the quiet, comfortable room. The staff were friendly, breakfast was good.

I thought that the bill would be £59 it was £69.

Friendly staff and atmosphere. Genuinely made to feel welcome. Good value food - also catered for my vegetarian wife. Very quiet.

Good value for money. Ideal for workmen like ourselves. Good location and plenty of Parking for both cars and large vehicles, clean and comfortable rooms.

The separate building in which we stayed is far too hot!!..and the window will only open 2 inches therefor you can't sleep. At Breakfast one morning we were asked if we wanted Tea, Coffee and Toast but neither ever arrived...poor service for such a simple task. The breakfast in general though is good!

Very friendly welcoming and helpful staff. Nice local pub atmosphere with a menu offering wide choice and good value. This inn was all I expected and it DOES have WiFi!

We stayed in room 21 and the room was neglected with toilet roll holder and the towel rail falling off. The extractor vent in the bathroom was completely blocked with dirt, the light over the basin was broken and there was a crack in the wash hand basin. The light fittings were thick with dusk and didn't appear to have ever been cleaned giving an overall feeling of indifference by the management. The whole building was extremely hot even though we turned off the radiators and tried to open the windows. There weren't enough towels for a double room which isn't something that we should have had to ask for. There was no telephone in the room to call the reception so it wasn't convenient to complain about these things. There was no remote control in the room for the TV, however this was rectified pretty quickly. It had a feeling of neglect and the dining room and general pub were run down and dirty.

The room was quiet pleasant bed was comfy, breakfast was very good and room where we ate breakfast was very nice, plenty of parking space and a friendly bar with good local beer.

unfortunately the cleanliness of this hotel let it down badly the bathroom was not pleasant and had it not been bank holiday weekend we would not have stayed the cleaner here has no idea how to clean a bathroom it was very bad and in general the place could do with a deep clean and a lick of paint such a shame as this could be a lovely place.

No hassle and friendly.

On arrival, we found corridors dark,Apparently fuses for some lights were blown. Room was very cold. Radiators not working.. A halogen heater was brought in. But we were scared to keep the heater on during the night.So rather cold night.

We wanted a quiet weekend break to relax & refresh and we got exactly what we wished for. It is a lovely place, very friendly and helpful staff, nice room, with comfotable beds, everything tidy and clean Location, food, services, all the things were just fabulous!!!Excellent cooked breakfast. I would recommend the hotel to anyone and would stay there again in the future.

Room was pocket sized, very poorly maintained (bathroom fittings falling off, torn curtains) and not properly cleaned or serviced. (A used shower cap in the bedroom and dust everywhere).
