Limited expensive menu
parking.. toilet seat would not sit up straight so you had to lean forward whilst using it!
Location perfect staff very helpful food great
Its situated right on the beach front. Sitting on the outside terrace, sipping a cold beer, watching the sun go down and the waves crashing on the shore - cant get much better!? Later lying in bed hearing the wind and waves crashing throughout the night. Very romantic! Staff were all excellent and very chatty. Rooms were big, comfy beds and had breath taking sea front views. Food although pricey was delicious!
The only fault was the menu was pretty expensive. With only 4 bedrooms, their main income is in the bar and restaurant, so guess its to be expected.
Amazing view, beautiful sunsets, lovely food, and the friendliest staff. Enjoyed our stay so much we'll be coming back with reinforcements next year!
The shower temperature was rather erratic
The staff were so friendly and listening to the sea as you went to sleep was great! We saw a dolphin in the morning and the staff went out of their way to be friendly and make our stay really enjoyable!
This was the second time we'd stayed here and it was just as good as the last time. The management had changed and they were so friendly & spoke with us during breakfast which was a nice touch. Will definitely continue to stay here when in this part of country.
As management had changed so had the food & it wasn't as good as it was when we previously visited. Didn't feel that it was worth the prices we paid. Although did have a free dessert after we complained about the portion size which was nice.
Fab location with great staff. Will return next year for sure.
Food good but not exceptional.
Comfortable, stylish room with fabulous view of the beach. Warm welcome from management. Tasty breakfast.
Absence of mobile network coverage!
Attentive but discreet staff. Right on the beach. Beach at low tide has many interesting features. Quiet. Excellent food. Saw dolphins in the bay.
Parking is a certifiable nightmare if you don't get one of the very few spaces at the Ship. Area and ship not suitable for fairy disabled people with walking problems
All the staff were very polite and friendly throughout our stay. Quality of food was excellent. Location was ideal, right on the beach and our room had a lovely view of the sunset over the sea.
We stayed for 3 nights a great Pub by the sea great breakfast and evening meal in the restaurant each night. Excellent food served by very polite, helpful staff - all in all a wonderful stay
Parking could be challenge if you arrive at the wrong time.
The happy pleasant helpful young staff and the room with the view and the coastal walk and the excellent evening meal we had and the sunset and the beach walk before breakfast and then the breakfast and ....we want to go back!!! Thanks to Jodie, Rollo, and the rest of the staff..!!
Very good location, very nice room, well furnished and comfortable. Shower room clean and modern. Lovely view from room.
The room we booked was, "room with balcony and sea view". The room didn't have a balcony so we were disappointed and it couldn't be changed. The stairs leading up from the reception area need a makeover..
Food ,location &friendliness of everyone
The location, the fantastic view to sea and the friendly welcome.
The location the staff was friendly.the beautiful sunsets . Relaxing sound of the surf.
The only problem was the tv losing a satilite connection .
Fabulous view, lovely sound of the sea from the bedroom. Balcony terrace to stand out on and watch the sun going down over the bay. Staff were really helpful and friendly, food was out of this world. The whole thing, WOW!
Car park bit tight and steep, but hey what a tremendous location, so really can't grumble!!
Location, rooms had a super sea view,
Food was ordinary and expensive
Loved the seaside location - sea views from the pub dining area and our room. Good sized room with everything we needed. Staff friendly and very helpful. The next day, when we were checking out, the relieving manager even helped us by reinflating a flat tyre. This allowed us to drive to the nearest repair centre rather than wait up to 3 hours for road service! What a great attitude, so kind and helpful. Many thanks for a wonderful stay!
Access to the rooms from inside the pub was up a narrow stairway behind the counter. Better access was via the fire escape which was right near our room and the car park, so all good in fine weather. Floorboards creak in the room when walking. Everything else was wonderful. :-)
Secluded location excellent room views. Manager was excellent.
The view from our room was absolutely beautiful. The room was clean and the decor really suited the location.
The food was not great. The mattress was very hard which was disappointing.
We stayed for 3 nights and ate in the restaurant each night. Excellent food served by very polite, helpful staff - all in all a wonderful stay.
bar prices and food prices expensive
