Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which was hassle- free. The room (groundfloor) was spacious, light, comfortable and very quiet. Beds were also very comfortable. Food at breakfast was of good quality and plenty of choice on offer. Service was quick and efficient. The countryside location is pleasant, yet within a few minutes drive from Milton Keynes. Insufficient hot water for a full bath - it ran out after a few minutes. At breakfast, toast would have been nicer if delivered on a toast rack rather than piled up on a plate. Waitress in restaurant could have been more smartly dressed E.G. white blouse and black trousers, with apron - all carefully ironed.

The hotel was probably the worst I have ever stayed in and I'm almost 60 years old! There was only enough hot water for one so the hotel management gave us another room. The reception area stinks of cigarettes as the owner/manager smokes inside the hotel and served up orange juice in his vest and pajamas!!! Needless to say, my husband and I will not be returning!

The room was basic, a bit dated but non the less clean and tidy. Tea and coffee available in the room for a drink in the morning. Initialy struggled to find the hotel. Not knowing the area I followed sat nav which took me into Deanshanger and ultimately a dead end road which was a bit of a shock. Eventually found the hotel about 20mins later which, to be fair, was back on the main road. Worst part was checkout. Nobody around despite supposedly being 24hr reception(or night porter at least). Thought not a major problem as left it as late as possible to check out so thought 10mins before breakfast service would have been ok. Unfortunately not so, no one around, so had to go back to the room to ring the ext number left on a sheet at reception. That didnt work either (engaged??) so then had to go knock on a room door to wake someone up. (And probably the rest of the Hotel also) I have some sympathy with the difficulties of running a hotel, but its not an experience I would particularly want to repeat so I wouldnt stay at the hotel again. Not sure what would have been the outcome, had I wanted an early breakfast. Most likley lots of fuss and embarrassment before finaly abandoning the idea due to a tight schedule.

Convenience, managers catered for my need to get decaffeinated coffee whenit wasn't available in the room The smell of smoke especially when I walked into the dining area. I wouldn't have eaten here! The cost ws the same as Horwood house and there was no comparison between the two venues!

The staff were very friendly and helpful and responded very quickly to a maintenance issue with room. The dining area is very light and airy. The location also made it easy to travel out to the various destinations we visited , Silverstone and Milton Keynes The room was adequate but require an uplift, especially the bathroom

The man who appears to have been running the hotel was very hospitable and helpful. Oh dear, such a shame, we were in room 7. 1)the extractor fan in the bathroom does not work, 2)the shower cradle needs refixing, 3)The shower head itself needs replacing as water only comes through the outside holes, 4)there is considerable mildew in the bathroom. 5)The shower curtain does not stop the bathroom being flooded because of the shower head positioning 6)if you do not close the bathroom door, the fire alarms go off 7)the paintwork could do with a touch-up 8)one of the sockets next to the dressing table does not work. So nothing a good steam clean, a screw driver and a paint brush couldnt fix really. A little tlc would go a long way in my opinion.

Hotel location convenient for our stay. Entrance drive to hotel very shabby with uncared for flower beds. Reception somewhat offhand.Receptionist busy on phone and room key was eventually presented by the manager. The room was clean and well appointed, but the clock radio didn't work, the hot water was dangerously hot and the bathroom extractor fan was not working. Continental breakfast was OK but the milk was sour and had to be replaced. As far as we could see, we were the only guests. We ourselves will definitely not be back.

It was cheaper than the surrounding hotels. Run down. Wifi only worked in public areas but owner sat in reception and watched TV in the bar at full volume which was pretty unbearable. Also security issues. I was on the ground floor and the windows were left open and unlocked during the day by the cleaning staff.

F1 grand prix at silverstone with my dad, come every year, try a different location & hotel every year to get closer to silverstone Didnt answer the phone for over 2hrs when we were lost/tom tom couldnt pick up the right way to get to the hotel/outside of hotel wasnt very nice-looked dirty from the outside-glass bottles outside on grass-empty tubs left around carpark from the car wash next door, which looked dirty, messy,scruffy/local garage & indian restaurant next as well but they all looked dirty/there was little bits of mess in every corner of the hotel-paperwork messy-boxes-bottles. Best thing about this hotel was the room, very clean, spacious, comfy, thank you for that anyway, cant say much else

Did the job, was a bed for the night at best rate we could find at that time. Basic hotel, trying hard, but really could do with a make over to compete with established chains, but the staff are trying very hard.

The people at the hotel were friendly but could only deal with the accomodation as it is. I would advise anyone who is in desperate need of a room to consder this hotel and only in those circumstances. I was in room 5 with no television as the connection was broken. With no wifi as they were between servers. A bathroom that smelt with less than normal cleanlines and the window fitting in the bedroom was broken, which was not a problem other than it was a ground floor room. I have to say as a point of fairness that by the time I complained they did offer another room but I had settled into the room, unpacked and made a judgement right or wrong that this was the hotels general standard.
