Booked well in advance ,but no payment needed until our arrival. It was very quiet - no noise travelling through the apartments.Breakfast facilities (in the main hotel) were good..Clean and modern, with complimentary teas, coffee, shower gels etc. Towels were also provided.Excellent value for money !
-Only one pillow per person. -Not very warm at night (in early October) - a blanket would have been useful to throw over the quilt. -Tiny bathroom sink.
Good value for money clean and tidy easy access walking distance from London underground and railway lines.
There was no heating and room was freezing cold. Lady at reception can be a little bit friendlier quite helpful though but you think twice to ask for help at first
The day I left!
At arriving to check in there was a customer arguing with the receptionist. I felt quite sorry for him. After a long wait I checked in. When I got to the room there was someone else's luggage in it. Fair do's an honest mistake. After another long wait I checked into another room that the cleaners were still cleaning (1 hr later than check in time). This room stank of smoke. Cutlery dirty. Shower dirty. Room much smaller than picture. Tiles broken in bathroom. Sink hadn't been cleaned. Floor sticky. All in all horrible. Within 20 minutes someone else walzed in unannounced even though the door was 'locked'. Being a lone traveller this really scared me. Asked for the complaints policy. Receptionist said they didn't have one. Made a complaint via email. No response. Disgusting service. Awful place. Will not be booking to stay there again.
Good size rooms and free wifi
Looking a bit tired but still very clean
Location was close to tube and accross the road from finsbury park. plenty of ameanities close by. Very clean. Usual toilletires provided. linen changed daily.
Room had cutlery but only 1 fork, no plug in kitchen sink, no washing up liquid or dish clothes and a oven hob would have been handy. Just minor details but caused a slight inconvenience.
Quiet street near the undeground station, very friendly personell, rather big rooms, clean.
Window in our bath room (to the yard) was broken and open all the time so as a result we were compelled to sleep in woollen sweaters and socks. And, of course, it was very cold to take a shower. The bedclothes were worn out (even with some holes). The sink and shower tray both were blocked and water poured to our room. Hotel's personell arrived very quickly and put in order our bath-room but it would be nice if they check the condition of their rooms beforehand. Fridge in our room worked very strange as it was full of water all the time. We wiped it several times a day but it did not help too much. Wi-fi was promised for the rooms but it did not work and was available only in the hall (in another building across the road). We decided not to ask for a help as we needed only 2 nights but for the future we'll think over other hotels without all the mentioned "surprises".
New beds to start of would be nice
It wasn't what it seemed to be from the pictures. Quiet a poor setting. Bathroom smelt to and it just didn't feel like it showed to be
Shower nice and hot (just did not look up at mould) . Location good. Breakfast ok,
Paint peeling off wall in bedroom ( I have took photos), big patch of black mould above shower,(I have took photos) parts of bathroom dirty. Definitely not worth £100 per night. Mentioned this to a member of staff, he said he could not understand this !!!!!!!!!!! Strong smell in room.
Over the road from underground and Mainline train station. Near a number of useful shops and resturants. Ideal place to stay if you are in the area for an Arsenal Football game or any of the events at Finsbury Park, which is over the road!
Although the road itself isnt noisey, other guests in the same building, coming and going at all times, started to grate. Check in was very slow, but they only had one staff member on duty, and room wasn't ready for a 1400 check in.
Modern equiped facilities
Rude and impolite staff at Central hotel reception. Long waiting time just to check in. Unclean floors Size of room much smaller than shown in photos Cold and stuffy rooms
We didn't get the key due to the system not working. We were later disturbed by engineer who was progamming the locks. Double room was way smaller then on the photos at booking.com and bathroom was so tiny my little girlfriend had a problem changing in there... Slow and inattentive staff. Fishy smell in the room...
Really good location, tube station a few minutes walk so easy to get into the centre! Stayed in studio appartment which was very well set out, also parking with hotel was handy
A bit confusing where to check in initially
Staff very helpful Clean and well appointed
Problem with door locks during visit meant we had to go to the main hotel to get staff to give us access to the room. Breakfast was hostel style and we chose not to partake and went out for breakfast
Can't use Wifi in the room
The location was great and just what we wamted
The room was clean and modern with everything you needed, it felt a bit strange from the outside but inside was lovely!
the staff were a bit unwelcoming and the reception of the hotel felt a bit like a hostel, breakfast was unexpected so good for free - but if I'd paid I would be been disappointed as it was very basic.
Good location, easy to find. Room was good but I've marked the comfort rating as fair because it was too cool & I felt cold in the night (no spare bedding). Had to speak to hotel reception the following morning who provided an extra duvet.
A little noisy (no carpeting on the stairs so you could hear everyone going up & down the stairs). I found the room too cool so had to get in bed to work. I didn't find any controls for air con. There were no manuals/leaflets about the room/hotel in the room. I wasn't happy that there were no spare bedding in the room although the hotel was prompt to supply one when requested.
Free wifi advertised but did not work and TV reception was also very temperamental. Broken toilet: did not flush and cistern running all night. Very noisy: doors slamming and noise from other rooms. No bedside lamps and only one bulb in four working in ceiling lights.
Receptionist had major attitude problem as if he was being forced to do the job
Very nice room.
Sadly the mattress was really uncomfortable, I'm not very picky when it comes to beds, but this one gave back pain!
we didn't get what we booked, no wifi on the rooms, wifi in the lobby did not work, very noisy, very bad breakfast
Great location for access to Finsbury Park station and on a nice quiet road. Our top floor studio room was a good size with a double and single bed, little kitchenette and tiny(!) shower room. Very clean and modern conversion of an old house. Ideal for one or two nights stay, easy to get to and great for access to Alexandra Palace for gigs.
External door and doors from other rooms noisy at night.
the hotel is just 10 minutes walk from the closer tube station. the room has also a microwave and a little fridge.
the cleaness: in 5 nights they've never change the bed sheets and they sweeped the floor just once. the noise: walls are not soundproof!!
Ease of check in, room was clean, decent beds. Shower great.
Size of wc is a joke. Location
I like the location for its convenience to all the main London attractions, and mass transit was right on your doorstep. Also, there were places to eat in close proximity to the hotel.
I did like the fact that Wi Fi wasn't readily available in the building I stay in. It was only available in the reception area and dining hall. Also, breakfast could be expanded with a few additional items on the menu.
