From the moment we arrived we know this was a good choice
Could not fault anything
Tasteful, elegant decor lovely garden, lake, ducks, dogs Welcoming, attentive hosts Delicious breakfasts Proximity to Sissinghurst
no wifi in bedroom
very warm welcome. Very well furnished and equipped bedroom Great views over the gardens
nothing not to like!
We liked everything, from the way we were greeted to the honor system for the drinks, the friendly dogs and the "duck feeding" session. The location is fantastic and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Also dinner at the nearby Gastropub "the Bell", Jolyon's suggestion, was outstanding. We will definitely be back when we are in the area and we wholeheartedly recommend this fabulous B&B.
Owners have a rare skill of spoiling their guests to perfection. Peaceful and tranquil surroundings and the rooms are to die for. Best B&B in the UK :-)
Internet could do with an extender, but no big deal
A wonderful stay at this beautiful property. Such a wonderful host. Breakfast was wonderful with homemade jams to die for. Beds extremely comfortable and lovely bedrooms and bathrooms.
There are no words that describe how amazing Shoyswell Cottage is. From beginning to end we where made to feel very welcome. Definitely a place for some well deserved R&R
That I couldn't stay longer!!
The owners commitment to their property and their guests.
Warm and caring hosts, great breakfasts and supper, entertaining dogs and ducks, and the inspirational house and gardens. A wonderful place to relax and restore energy.
That all other accommodation seems dull by comparison.
Beautiful setting, attentive owners, incredibly comfortable.
Immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and furnished. Really nice and accommodating host.
Out of the way and quiet, clean and comfortable.
No wi fi in the bedroom, watch the price of bar drinks.
The rural setting was a delight after the hectic journey on the motorways
A small detail really - wifi could be extended to the guest bedroom area - but I think this is already a planned improvement
we liked everything. we were greeted with tea, friendliness and the wow factor. the house is like walking into a designer magazine but still has a feeling of comfort and ease thanks to Jolyon's warmth of welcome, good breakfast for my husband who loves his 'full English,'and his quiet thoughtfulness in all things, ranging from silk bedcovers to bread for guests to feed to the gaggle of ducks and geese in the garden. and for the view of Downs which we certainly appreciated looking at from our private patio.
The place was amazing, the building, the grounds and the staff - 10/10!!
I would change nothing!
The beautiful countryside location was superb. The hosts were warm and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Everything was outstanding. Tea and cake on the terrace when we arrived, exceptional cooked breakfasts and beautifully decorated and appointed rooms. The best B & B we stayed in on our tour of England
We were spoiled to death - couldn't have been made to feel more at home in this wonderful location!
Having to leave...
Best bed and pillows from any accommodation we have stayed at. Beautiful setting elegant but very comfortable welcoming home and host Jolyn
Everything. This must be one of the most beautiful B&B in England, exquisitely decorated, extremely comfortable, ideally situated amidst nature and close to visiting targets like Sissunghurst and Rye. It offers a warm welcome and has a superior garden inclusive of pond and ducks.
The couple who run this B&B made us feel so welcome it felt like home, the bed was extremely comfortable with beautiful linen. Very well behaved dogs, ducks, & the attention of the staff made this a very special stay.
Beautiful location and great host, couldn't be any better!
Lovely setting, attentive host, excellent accommodation and breakfast
The very warm welcome and attention to our care and enjoyment during our stay We could not have asked for more The accomodation was excellent and the food surpassed our expectations
Set in beautiful countryside. A lovely garden with pond and ducks for use by guests.
Lovely garden setting with a pond and fourteen Aylesbury Ducks ! Private, nice views with a country feeling. A great cooked to order breakfast. Will stay again if in the area.
