Very friendly owners. Lovely breakfasts.

Clean, cosy comfortable bedroom. Easy access to WiFi Unbelievably comfortable bed and fluffy bathrobe. Gorgeous freshly cooked and locally sourced breakfast.

There was not anything I didn't like.

Richard and Sally were extremely friendly and very flexible with arrangements. The guesthouse was immaculate nicely decorated. breakfast was delicious. the bed was divinely comfortable!

The room was warm and cosy essential during this bleak cold weather. Food excellent although only breakfast served. Richard and Sally perfect hosts. Will stay again if in Ipswich area

Really enjoyed our stay at the Sidegate Guest House. Room was clean and well kept. People were friendly and helpful, and food was great.

There is an annoying loud little exhaust fan in the bathroom....nothing one cannot overcome, but would be better if it were a little less noisy. Certainly would not stop us from staying there in the future as the positives definitely out weigh this little annoyance.

Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and the attention to detail was outstanding! If we had to single out certain elements it was the good quality of the food, and the spaciousness, decor and comfort of the accommodation. Having a comfortable sitting room to ourselves as well as our rooms made us feel very spoilt! Sidegate Guest House is also well placed for both city and countryside visits. We were able to drive to the countryside quickly without getting imbroiled in city traffic.Similarly, we wanted to go to the Suffolk Records Office in town and reached it in a few minutes.

I could not have chosen a better place to stay on my return to Ipswich after many years away. Sally and Richard went out of their way to make me feel welcome and assist me with my every need. They have thought of everything and it is immaculately clean throughout. Not to mention eight perfect delicious breakfasts!! Thank you for a memorable stay.

Very good stay at Sidegate. Warm welcome and made to feel very comfortable. Great breakfast and nice additional touches such as fresh milk in the room. Have only reduced rating to 'good' on location as not in the centre of town so you need a car, and on services/facilities as I am rating this on a universal basis (in comparison to everything including hotels) rather than just in comparison only to B&Bs.

Hosts Richard and Sally were extremely helpful. They went the extra mile to ensure that our stay was very comfortable and they accommodated our every need.. The room was immaculately presented and maintained. The food was first class and the whole guest house warm, welcoming and appealing. I would have no hesitation in staying there again and thouroughly recommend it to everyone including family and friends. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Le petit déjeuner pantagruelique à l'anglaise avec des produits frais tous les jours. Le très grand lit de la chambre (au moins 1.80m de large) Le salon mis à la disposition des hôtes

Un petit bémol sur la taille de la salle de bain (très petite) et notamment du lavabo qui est plutôt un lave-mains.
