The location is very convenient for access to rail transport. The staff were charming and efficient and we loved the multi-cultural crowd down in the breakfast room. There are some outstanding - and affordable - places to eat nearby and we considered the Sidney to be great value. No frills, but we don't want those, just somewhere clean and comfortable as a base. We would certainly book again next time we are in the uk. Our bedroom was at the back, faced west and was very hot. The airconditioning didn't appear to be able to cope with the unusually high temperatures in London at that time in late September 2011.

The hotel was ideal for the bus into the west end, also within walking distance of the parks, a most enjoyable stay.

My wife and I liked the location of the Sidney & the staff was absolutely delightful and helpful. Thank you. The breakfast would have been nice if some fruit, cheese, or yogurts, etc. were added. We do not eat meat so we were very limited. Thank you.

The general cleanliness of the rooms, the price for the location and the fact it included Breakfast was excellent. If you suffer from claustrophobia do not a book a single room. The bathroom/toilet ensuite although clean is so small almost standing on the toilet as you have a shower.

Provided a comfortable room with ensuite which was warm and clean. An overhead fan was available if needed .Extra facilities for example a computer in room in addition to usual tv tea and coffee making facilities and toiletieries. In a convenient location with bus going into Central London stopping outside the hotel and underground only a short walk.Bar with assortment of drinks at a reasonable price. Good to have a cooked breakfast but maybe more choice of cereals and bread rolls or croisants could have been provided.

Friendly staff, efficient check-in. Great to be able to leave our bags after checkout. The room was quiet, apart from the floorboards of the room above which creaked every time someone walked across the room. The rooms were clean and presentable although the decor and furnishings had seen better days. Would stay again as it was excellent value for the money. The breakfast was, at best, ok. Given the number of overseas visitors it wasn't a good example of british cuisine. Leathery toast, mushrooms that looked and tasted as if they were out of a tin. The staff serving were excellent though.

Its is not in our eyes worthy of the 4 star rating. Very overprices for what is essentially a bed and breakfast, bedroom was cramped and the shower room was like a train toilet. The staff were nice however the breakfast was cold. Wouldn't recommend it to anybody. No real difference to the Premier Inn which we stayed in last time.

5 min walk from tube (Pimlico). Don't go to Victoria,-looks nearer but is actually further away. Nice area, pubs nearby but not too near that you hear them. Try and get a room not overlooking the road as can be noisy with traffic up until midnight. Not air conditioned but there was a ceiling fan in the room which did the job and wasn't too noisy. Also had communal ironing board if needed on one of the landings. Lift to all floors and small bar. Good buffet full English breakfast included. If have breakfast 9-9.30am may have to queue but only for about 5 minutes. Can leave your luggage on the last day at the hotel for free and they'll store it for you,-we had 3 suitcases and 3 holdalls and it wasn't a problem which is great if you have an evening train home. Our room was a reasonable size though shower/toilet a little on the small side. Good tv and can watch films on it for an additional payment. Tea and coffee making facilities and usual free toileteries (no biscuits though!!). Coat hangers available but would suggest you bring additional ones if you've a lot of stuff. Would stay there again.

Everything was clean and tidy. Staff were always willing to help Double room was far too small, kept tripping over cases and each other having to continually move furniture about to move within the room.
