The location was good The staff friendly & helpful The room & bathroom were clean
The noise at night due to guests arriving to other rooms The shower was of a size unfit for an adult The heat in the room & the lack of fresh air
Smell in room (musty) Very dark room four beds in room
Modern bathroom with full shower. Excellent continental breakfast Brilliant location
Good location. Very handy for Victoria railway station.
The bathroom was very small with a cramped sink and the only shower I've ever used that was smaller than the wardrobe. Breakfast was also a huge disappointment. Cereal and toast is not much. And there was a wait for the toast.
bedroom was in the basement next to the road. the traffic noise prevented me from sleeping. smelll of damp from the room.
Excellent location, very helpful staff
some rooms a bit crammed
Closeness to Victoria & Pimlico Stations. Great access to Victoria Coach Station. Savings on taxis etc.
I with happy with all aspects
The location is the only good thing going for this hotel.
A small basement restaurant meant there weren't enough seats for all the guests coming down for breakfast. Breakfast was a poor limited continental style buffet - there was toast, but no sign of any bacon or sausages. Very pool in my opinion. The rooms were absolutely tiny, some of the worst I've ever stayed in. The bed was as small as you could get it whilst still using the word "single." Swipe cards did not work twice with two different cards, so a member of staff had to come and let me into my own room! Pain in the neck as I was up a floor. I won't ever be staying here again!
Extremely comfortable bed. Everything in room very clean
Location of bedroom in basement Continental breakfast only. Lack of knowledge of area by one member of reception staff.
Sidney Hotel was in a good location with restaurants and tube station in walking distance, the hotel is strict with their no smoking policy which is great as a none smoker. Luggage storage is available which was a great plus as I spent the day traveling around London on business
The furniture in the room is getting a little tired and could do with a bit of a referb
Close to Victoria coach station.
Hard beds and unrelaxing atmosphere at breakfast. Also; more choice at breakfast would have been nice.
This was a good value hotel. The staff was courteous & helpful. The room was clean, comfortable & nicely decorated. The toiletries were better than most hotels. It is located about a 10 minute walk from Victoria Station & even closer to Pimlico tube stop.
The breakfast buffet was good but not much variety.
Position of hotel
I liked the price. And the location was good for us
I didn't like that I paid the extra price to have two single beds and one double. When we arrived we had four single beds. It felt like a hostel not a family room.
The option to hold luggage in luggage store until our room was ready, and until our journey home was really helpful.
Location Friendly staff Cleanliness of room and public areas
Lack of a cooked breakfast
Short walk from tube good central location. Could leave luggage after check out.
No iron in the room it was on the landing but a short trek... Not convenient. Bit outdated Breakfast was toast cereal tinned fruit croissants. No meat cheese or fresh fruit usually seen on continentals.
Although an older property, the room had been recently updated and were modern. Not a big room, but what could you expect in central London. The included breakfast was satisfactory (but no eggs).
Hotel staff at reception had no clue about the city. They could not give me directions to any place. For example, didn't know where the Her Magisty's Treater was or how to get there. My goodness,-Phantom of the Opera has had a sell out run there for thirty years, and they didn't know where it was? Also, they had no idea how you could reach the major train stations via the Tube, etc. Regarding loction it was a rather lone walk from the Victoris Station, at least six or seven lone blocks. I had expected it to be closer.
The hotel is very conveniently situated near Victoria Station with a bus stop right at the front door offering a 24 hour service to Trafalgar Square. The staff were friendly and helpful and the free wifi is fast. The hotel has a lift which is important to me. The room was small but clean and comfortable.
Room was quite small
Rooms , breakfast , location
Location very convenient to bus route and Victoria station. Area also had good bars and restaurants.
Room a little too small. However we were only there to sleep. No safe in room. Breakfast could be better.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was central to all he sights I wanted to see. There's even a bus stop right in front of the hotel that takes you to Trafalgar Square! As I was only in London for 3 days, this convenience was fantastic.
My room was extraordinarily small and not quite what I was expecting. It ultimately had everything I needed: TV, bed, and closet. However, the toilet was in the hall and the room did not come with conditioner, washcloths, or desk area like I'm used to in other hotels. I you're willing to have Spartan accommodation though, the location and staff can't be beat. I'd go back.
