The oldest and least upgraded hotel I've ever stayed in. Toilets and showers in poor condition. Room night lamp and TV did not work. And it's over £60/night??? No chance!!!
The massive bedroom with 3 beds when there were only 2 of us!
The shared bathroom.
I was charged 5% extra for paying with debit card. Internet was not free either; it comes at additional cost
Price -recently I stayed in Holiday Inn for £65 per night including breakfast. Considering that by paying £60 per night was toooo much without breakfast
no hassles from anyone, easy to reach,2 minute walk from station, friendly welcome, room clean and spacious
nothing at all - it is as it says it is
Valu for money & location is excellent
The bed was fairly comfortable. Near to Homerton station.
The photos on booking.com are very misleading-do not expect flowers, drinks or toiletries on your room. The whole building needs redecorating-peeling and dated wallpaper, thinning carpets and bathrooms from the 70s. Pillows are paper thin, I asked at reception and was begrudgingly given 1 extra (thin) pillow. No paper towels or hand dryer in bathrooms. They will try to charge you 5% extra to pay on card, which isn't mentioned when booking. I only paid £40 for a double as booked last minute, I have no idea how they can justify charging £80-£100 full price. Avoid at all costs, this place should not be listed as a hotel.
I needed somewhere between Central London and Hackney and this was ideal and right on the best bus route in London (38) as well as close to overground and tube. really good bars and restaurants around as well as good shopping (broadway market in Hackney, best lingerie shop in London on Cross Street - Tallulah)
Room was small but fine, bathroom needed a bit of touching up and I did have to buy a hairdryer
Very dirty showers and so noisy and far !
-Rooms are good sized. -Own sink. -Location is good for this amount of money, overground station and 24h shop nearby. -Hygiene of (bad)room was good.
-Badrooms haven't got any propper maintenance for a couple of years, examples: plunger stands next to the sink and kinked showerhose ensures that the showerhead doesn't stand up right. -No fresh towels (received after second requist). -Notice staff never heard of customer service or friendliness. -Poor English. -Getting the feeling they are only in for the money without investing time, money or energy.
The room is good and facilities are fine.
The price is too high in my opinion.
Not a lot to like.
Price was deceiving. Extra for breakfast.charged extra £15 for checking in early even though room was ready. Sur charge on credit card. £5 for wi fi. Carpet in room was dirty and threadbare. We were there for 5 days and our towels were never changed. Had to put rubbish out ourselves. The bedding was disgusting a dirty grey colour. Pillows were so thin and without a casing. Bathroom was dirty and had only one dim light over basin bulb was never replaced. Shower curtain was filthy. We shared the bathroom with about 3 other rooms not always convenient. Kitchen upstairs was left dirty a lot the time. We supplied our own tea bags and milk,. A bad experience. We shifted to another place after 5 days.
The location and some of their staff.
The room, when you open the windows I just can see the bins.
Location to victoria park
Bathroom was dirty and dated
Great value for money, staff were so kind and helpful I have no complaints. Would definatley recommend it :)
The location was good near hackney, and park, and train station, room was basic but clean, kitchen and bathroom near by and guests can use kitchen to make tea/coffee and also TV facilites for use
Had to pay extra to stay a little longer in room, staff could have been more friendly. Hotel is situation in a residential area so lots of noise at nighttime.
1. The room had not even glasses or drinking water, let alone the expected facilities for making a cup of tea. The drinking fountain did not work and we had to ask for glasses from the kitchen and drink warm tap water. 2. We had to ask for additional pillows for the beds, those provided were inadequate. 3. We did not have breakfast because of the foul-smelling kitchen where I went to get drinking glasses. 4. Bathroom facilities were inadequate - no table for toiletries nor even a mirror. 5. none of the washbasins had plugs, so could not be filled with water of the right temperature.
Location is reasonable, near an overground station in London, but you need to walk to find something to eat or drink.
This is not a Hotel. I can't recommend this place to anyone. The attendance in the desk is maybe the worst I have ever received. The room was dirty, the TV doesn't work... For the same amount I payed there is possible to find a good place even in Central London. According to hotel policy you need to pay in cash or they will charge you 5% more. I need to ask three times for the receipt. They didn't provide any indications of places to eat, no map of the region (which is not included in London's touristic maps).
1. My room has good light. 2. The first day was clean. 3. There is breakfest. 4. One employee was very good (he works 12 hours per day).
1. The room was not clean up after my occupation. 2. The breakfest is not good. 3. Expensive price (too much): no bathroom, bad breakfest, long distance.
Big sunny room. Clean.
Bad location. Only greasy spoon cafes & corner shops close by. Hard to get to by tube. Staff unwelcoming, unhelpful. Plumbing bad. Lots of noise. Drapes didn't close properly, windows draughty. Most of CCTV cameras don't work. Stray wires, shoddy decoration. Room not cleaned. Key rusty. Charged for using internet and paying by card. Lots of door banging, train & street noise.
Close to transport and where I was working
Not having shared bathroom working on same floor!!! Not even being able to find s working shower room...kettle in room would have been nice.? Not sure if I would stay again as it is but with some investment this could be a fantastic boutique hotel as the location is excellent, u get what you pay for I guess tho
Fair friendly staff and fair cleanliness.
Poor facilities. The beds were too soft. The location was not convenient and had to transfer from underground to overground and got charged twice. Not worth of the money.
the best b&b ever. good price for I believe everyone but compared to other b&b's it is by far the best !
stuff are friendly , location very good near to the station
