Food. Good service. Clean. Friendly. It was nice been contacted be texts and phone
Double room was a bit small
Owner was polite, breakfast was lovely, with just enough choice. Good parking facilities.
Decor was very dated and in huge need of modernisation, wallpaper peeling away from walls. We had no hot water from shower despite leaving it running as instructed, we didn't complain as we were leaving after the one night.
The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was lovely also the room was lovely will be going back there again .
Location Friendly Manager Free Parking on Site Comfortable Lounge Excellent Breakfast Pool and Games room Well stocked bar Reasonable prices
Small double room,Bedroom View,
Very Clean Breakfast was nice and tasty Very Polite chusband & wife who run the place 2 Minutes walk to Burlington Road West Tram stop. Minutes from the pleasure beach. Would stay here again.
Odd smell in the bathroom (We couldn't work out what it was)
The location was oergect, next door to the pleasure beach with a tram stop 2 minutes away.
The beds were horrendous, had, springs sticking out. Might as well have been sleeping on the divan base. Rooms were dated, bathroom was grubby. Could hear every ounce of noise coming from other guests and had bratty kids screeching on the landing at 7am.
Staff very friendly, the owner was very nice, breakfast very good.
Location was a bit too far from pubs/clubs
Very basic but good value for money. Staff helpful and friendly
Location, Freindly staff.
Limited time of seving of Breackfast.
Other guests and eventually good breakfasts
Didn't get beds in room as requested. Said they had no room with a double and two singles. No bar available on evening of arrival. No breakfast available next morning
breakfast & polite lady serving it
very small room very steep stairs hosts didnt seem to want to use bar sign saying bar closes at 10 so we never bothered to use it anyone who struggles to get up stairs couldnt use this one
Clean room, Friendly owner, Location, Good breakfast
Bar shuts at 10pm, but ok to take drinks upstairs. Would have liked to have helped myself for the buffet.
location good.on site parking.
room very small, smell from bathroom, bathroom itself was in a walk in closet ( in fairness we were offered another room on top floor) but to many stairs stopped us,breakfast was a waste of time one sausage egg half a rasher of bacon and bean juice (10 beans)
Location - close to the pleasure beach. Breakfast was nice, cooked option, toast, cereals.
Needs complete cosmetic makeover. The shower wasn't very good, it just trickled out, no pressure at all. There was a gap at the bottom of the door which let in a lot of light. The windows are very old and could hear a draft.
The closeness to the pleasure beach and south pier is great.
The room was very small and dated, the bathroom was very tiny, was more like something you'd get in a mobile home,no nightly entertainment, breakfast was from 9 to 9.30 which I found strange, the breakfast it's self was ok,wifi only available in the lobby of the hotel,if your looking for something cheap and cheerful it's not to bad,but if your travelling with a large family I'd check around first for a larger room.
Got good parking room was clean
Shower was tiny once it steamed up you couldn't breath it was that small. Although bathroom was clean their was a bad damp smell.
The lady on reception could not understand a word we said, the owner (a family member) had to come to translate to her what we were saying. Our rooms were tiny, we had a family room consisting of a three quarter size bed and a single bed cramped into what should have been a single room. You had to open the door and step round it in and stand behind it as there was no room to sit or stand other than the beds which were pushed up to the wall at the other side. There was only about a 12 inch space to walk down the side of the bed to get to the toilet. The carpets were frayed, and plaster as falling off the corners of the walls, there were cobwebs on the light shade. The toilet and shower were clean but so small that you had to sit on the toilet sideways. Towels were provided but another guest told us that they were in a family room for four but only has 3 towels, they asked for another towel and were charged £1. A notice in reception says the bar is open until 10pm, however it was always locked up, we asked to use the downstairs toilet which was through the bar, after ringing the bell at reception a lady unlocked the doors to allow me and my little boy through to the toilet was very ignorant and obviously unhappy about our request as she was chuntering away in her own language and shaking her head. We could not get the t.v to work, which was not too much of a problem because we were so uncomfortable on our room we barely stayed on it. The beds were absolutely rock hard, with no mattress protector on them. At breakfast time, the food was ok, my husband asked for three slices of bacon but was told to look at a sign which said you were only allowed to have one of each item to save food waste. Bless him, as he only wanted bacon and beans, nothing else! This we found very embarrassing! On departure we handed our keys, we were not asked if we had enjoyed our stay, we didn't get a smile or even eye contact.
The rooms are small and clean and perfect for a short stay. The staff were pleasant, polite and helpful. It was very easy to access from the motorway and parking at the front door.
We had no complaints about anything and would definitely stay here again.
Breakfast was nice
Notice said to put towels in shower if you required clean ones which we did. Returned back to find the dirty towels hung back up on the rail and bed not made or bin emptied.
bar was not open nothing to do very poor no bar snacks never saw anyone hardly thought it was very poor
The manager was friendly and helpful. The room decor was nice.
Other staff didn't listen to what you ordered at breakfast. Shower had pubic hairs in it from previous guest. Couldn't move in en suite. No entertainment on over the weekend.
The location was good you could get to the tram stop on foot in couple of minutes .
The staff weren't helpful and didn't seem to no anything regarding the market days etc . All leaflets in hotel for days out and shows were out of date . The hotel it's self was dirty and when purchased a drink at bar the glass was dirty and smelt .
Apon arrival we were grated but a very welcoming man who was the owner of the hotel, he was very friendly and very helpful, we were early for our check in so he let us leave our bags with him until our room was ready and let us go for a walk to get our barings and walk around the piers, we came back to the hotel and shown to our room, the room was big enough for the both of us and was very clean, the toilet was a great size and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location could not have been any better as it was located right beside the pleasure beach which was a real winner for is, we also liked the bar in the hotel, the prices were reasonable and the pool table in the bar provided entertainment.
I liked that it was close to the pleasure beach and we didn't have to walk far breakfast was nice two
The rooms could do with a bit off freshening up as there was wallpaper coming away from the walls en suit wasn't that roomy window in bedroom didn't stay open so had to keep a cup under the window to let air in would not stay here again
Dated. Very small room.
