It is in a great location in the city centre. The bar area has a good atmosphere. The room was not the cleanest. The price I paid on booking included breakfast...When we attended breakfast we were told that we had only paid for a continential breakfast and had tp pay for an upgrade to a full English...This annoyed me as I think the booking was misleading.

The location of Sir Thomas Hotel is excellent, every Liverpool attractions are within walking distances. The peoples at STH,like the peoples of Liverpool are friendly, helpful and geniunely nicest human beings. The sth full English Breakfasts complemented by the pleasing serving staffs are hardly somethings money can buys. Apart from the tobacco smells that greet you when the lift door opened, there's nothings, in particular, wife and me didn't like!

The hotel was comfortable, and hosted by pleasant friendly staff. The hotel served my purpose 100%. Breakfast was included, and was fresh and satisfying. Would I recommend ......yes ! In room facilities lacking, and the tv only had 4 channels. The room wasn't cleaned as per advertised.

We eventually enjoyed our stay at the Sir Thomas Hotel after we had to upgrade our room at a cost of £30 per night. The room we had originally booked was nothing like the room advertised on the internet. It was not clean and had a bad smell, also it just didn't feel comfortable, the room we upgraded to was the room that we had seen on the internet but we where still charged. We would stay at the Sir Thomas Hotel again if we could get a decent price for the room we upgraded to. The advertising needs to be clear. People should be able to see exactly what room they are booking. We don't feel we should have been charged for the upgrade.

The staff were very friendly both in the hotel and bar. The cocktails from the bar were absolutely beautiful and I have no complaints about the food we really enjoyed it! Entertainment in the bar was great all of us really enjoyed our stay. Next time I visit liverpool I will be staying at the Sir Thomas Hotel. The room was a bit cold, the weather was pretty bad so we can't down rate the room for that, the hotel receptionist/manager brought an extra blanket to our room and offered us a heater too. Absolutely no complaints I can't understand why there is so many bad reviews because we loved it!!!

Very friendly staff, nice breakfast options and great room size. Last time we stayed on the opposite side of the hotel which was very quiet, however this time our room was by the main road which was loud come morning traffic.

All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel was central for our needs. The hotel and room were not as discribed on the internet.I would not of wanted to pay the original price for the room. The room was cold on arrival and we had to close the air vents on the window. The windows need double glazing to help with the heat retension and street noise. It was stated that there may be street noise due to the location of the hotel, this was an understatement. Not only were we kept awake with people returning from the clubs around but the bin lorries started to collect bottles etc at 7am right under our window.Even sitting in the bar area in the evening was cold due to the large single glazed windows. The fixture and fittings were of a shabby appearance.Definatley in need of refurbishment.

We have stayed several times at the Sir Thomas Hotel and enjoyed our relaxing stay. We stayed at the hotel with 2 other couples that we had paid for ,this was to celebrate Mr Ricketts birthday, normally we are in the Sir Thomas Street side of the building, this visit we were on Cumberland Street side for the 3 rooms.I Ended up getting a taxi home at 2am because the noise was unbearable,i know people are out to enjoy themselves ,but there is a desperate need for double glazing. The other 2 couples were also disturbed with the noise.

it's location. it's size (not too big) nice restaurant/breakfast. my room overlooked a nightclub that I was unaware of til too late. Noisy all night as when the clubbing stopped the traffic and refuse wagons started. The room t.ho' clean was a bit "tired looking". None of the staff smiled. Looked a bit tired too.

The staff were friendly, the food was good, the location was excellent The hotel needs updating, would benefit from secondary or double glazing, don't book a room on the roadside of the hotel, carpets need renewing, could benefit from purchasing valences for the beds!
