location , central , decent carpark arrangement , good breakfast

curtains in room where at the best useless they looked nice but didn't close and didn't block out the morning light , bit noisey from the alleyway ,double glazing required

The staff were very attentive and went out of their way for you. The bar area and toilets and staircase looked really nice

The rooms were very dated and shabby compared to the rest of the hotel, the rooms definitely need a make over. We paid £43 for parking across the road and then found out it was £8.50 per 24hrs down the road, would of been nice if the staff had mentioned this when we booked in

Well placed for the city centre, shopping, theatre etc. Staff helpful. Facilities fine.

A bit expensive but it was a busy weekend.

No air in room windows dont open even a little bit. Heater broken.tv broken. Wifi doesnt work. Bathroom extremely tiny.Breakfast really poor. Overall horrible seriously dated hotel.

Great room with a decent hairdryer and iron. Nice wet room style bathroom.

Needed smartening up on the outside and in Reception. First impressions were worrying, but then the room itself was really lovely.

Value for money

The location is great; it's a short walk to Lime Street station, and practically adjacent to the central pedestrian shopping area. The rooms were pleasant, with comfortable beds and lovely strong, warm showers. Above all, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

When I travel, wi-fi access is absolutely vital, so I was very disappointed that I had almost no wi-fi access during my stay, due partly to a signal that was continually dropping out, and partly to a login system that abruptly stopped working and could not be fixed. On top of that, I was counting on having BBC1 in my hotel room, but the Sir Thomas Hotel television package omits the first six channels. I also had some difficulty receiving wake-up calls. The staff were very kind and tried their best to fix or find workarounds for these problems, but when no reliable solution was forthcoming, I ultimately decided to cancel the last two (sadly nonrefundable) days of my stay and move to a different hotel.

the location of sir thomas is great, right in the hub of things. few minutes to shops, bars and restaurant. the bar was very trendy and staff also very friendly and couldn't fault anything about hotel.

Old rooms in need of sprucing up to modernise. Terribly old small TV.

The hotel looks nothing like the photos the whole place needs paint and the rules for the restaurant was so over the top that we didn't bother going.

The location was fantastic. Walking distance to city centre and short taxi drive to football stadiums.

Very noisy at night (even on weekdays) - windows very thin. Curtains were ridiculous, far too small for the windows so didn't stop the light coming in at silly o'clock in the morning. We were unaware of the £4 extra each for breakfast (continental choice was poor)

I thought it was really nice hotel and I couldn't believe how good the price Was! Great value! The staff were really friendly and even upgraded our room free of charge! The room was gorgeas I also thought the food from the bar was really nice to and it is a great location only really short walking distance from all the shops and nightlife! :-)

staff not overly helpful.breakfast ended at 9.30 and we were told 10am.newspaper was always free when we stayed previosly and now it is not.

Central location

Too noisy very scruffy a d I desperate need of some money spending on it!

This was booked for my mother and father in law. The location was excellent

The hotel was booked out for a funeral wake and I was not advised off this prior to the visit. My mother and father in law was located on the 1st floor and the music was very loud causing them not to sleep. Also the windows would not close too therefore the room was vary airy. My mother in law did complain but the reception staff and her comment was that they were licences for late music and they're was nothing she could do and was a little rude.My mother in law said she would call the police and asked for the manager he was on maternity leave and not available. The next day the Manager did come in to see them and offered 25% off one night out of the two but they did not accept this and was offer 50% which they accepted. I would not recommend this hotel due to other travellers, firstly because of the problems with the funeral wake and not getting any sleep and also not being able to use the bar in the evening because off this. I was most disappointed to here the feedback when they returned as this was a present and I would expected top service.
