Very good value for money, convenient location and easy to find, staff were helpful
Very squeaky bed! Low water pressure in the shower
Easy access to A46, both north and south
Cheap cereal at breakfast, but what do you want for £36.50 a night
Location was near A46 and easy to access. Loads of Parking. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, both late at night and for breakfast. Bed linen and towels very clean. Bathroom OK.
Very tatty and run down rooms. No tea/coffee in room. Old style TV with out of date digi-box. Still had BBC news on ch80 ! Credit card machine not working, so lucky I had cash.
staff , beds comfortable ,not alot around but there was a excellent restaurant called cafe mash just 5mins down the road very good value
had a wine and it was gone off and didnt have any more
The receptionist was very kind and very friendly. The fight was dealt with fairly quickly
The room was filthy with mould on windows and cobwebs.TV not plugged in or tuned. There was a fight in the next room to us. We were frightened. Smoke alarms went off twice. Nobody was in the room when we went in for breakfast which was poor. Only one slice of white bread. No one came anywhere near us. Dreadful experience. We nearly got up and went home in the middle of the night but we were visiting friends in the area the next day.
Tv was there a very old box type with a freeview box that did not work, no kettle or tea and coffee
You get what you pay for no frills, beds comfy, hot water and staff friendly.
The road noise but that's what you expect so no surprises there, place a bit run down but again this reflects in the price.
I asked for a quiet room and was politely moved from the main room to overlooking the car park. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very reasonable cost for a single person and a nice double bed.
There was an extra charge of £2.50 for tea making facilities. The was a constant sound of running water coming from the wall at my bed-head. Presumably the central heating. Very noisy other guests.
Friendly staff easy to find
Traffic and no warning of party on second night
Room was small cramped family room When we arrived we were informed there was no kettle or tea/coffee in room and if we wanted it we would have to pay another £2-50 even though I needed hot water for my baby in the night There were other guests playing music and slamming doors constantly through the night
Staff were friendly and very helpful. Clean and tidy throughout. Lovely location very peaceful and quite.
Could only get wifi in reception area and the restaurant
I only stayed one night and didn't really like it
Lukewarm water in the showers after running the shower for 10minutes although I was warned about that from the reception, TV placed too high on the wall, the bed was too small and thank god I didn't bring my six foot tall husband, for nearly £7 I didn't enjoy my breakfast, dried bacon, dried sausages and there was no tea and I was not offered any, I ordered omelet but was given fried eggs. I stayed only one night but I won't be staying there or recommending it to anyone
Nothing apart from it was close to where we were going
Room - dark with mould on single glazed windows, hairs left on wasbasin, burns on carpet. TV didn't work. The bed had clean sheets but the mattress creaked and there was only one thin pillow each. This along with the dual carriageway next to the room and the noise from other guests meant we had little sleep. Fire alarm went off at 7am when a guest cooked toast in their room. Breakfast was a slightly stale croissant and cheap juice - no staff on duty so just serve yourself! Just awful.
Receptionist was very helpful and responded quickly to any query
Bed quality was poor Terrible disturbance during the night Banging doors, shouting,(with foul language) and screaming.
size of room
oldish and not up to standard bathroom facilities also lights not working also shower handset too close to wall
friendly & helpful staff. bed linen clean
plugholes all need a good clean. bathroom floor grubby. carpets full of grit and stained.
the location was near to party we were attending
how run down the hotel looked from the road and then inside dirty worn carpets dirty windows décor dreadful no headboards kettle hard to reach shower impossible to get water hot and very little pressure
Location was exactly where I wanted. Food was very good. Room was nice. Staff excellent. Access good. Friendly and quiet.
Noisy plumbing. Old windows.
Served food in the evening .
Lasagne and garlic bread
Water too cold for a shower in spite of letting it run, as advised. Tatty paintwork. Not enough pillows. Miniscule TV which could hardly be seen from the bed - the only suitable seat. Cold coffee.
Staff are really polite and catered to the needs of guests.
It was located in the middle of no where. There was a disco on till earlie hours of the morning so did not have best of sleep.
Plenty of parking, friendly staff. Comfortable bed.
Dirty room upon arrival, dated furniture/equipment, poor sound-proofing, room within 15ft of dual carriageway.
Had a lovely time here, the staff were very friendly an helpful. The room was a fair size and stocked with tea and coffee, and the 4 post bed was fantastic. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet night away.
Jet bath didn't seem to work, but could be that I didn't use it right.
