Nothing I disliked
Really pleasant B & B with lovely big room . Fantastic location in centre of quiet Yorkshire village , would definitely come back!
A warm welcome; a lovely large room which included spacious en suite and dressing area; wonderful choice available for breakfast; excellent recommendation for evening meal at nearby pub; stunning location.
We had a very warm welcome and our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, with good views across to the church & the Dales beyond. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice, especially the blueberry pancakes! We would stay there again and have recommended it to our friends.
The WIFI was slow.
Very friendly helpfull hosts
Spacious bedrooms, super breakfast, ideal location. Friendly and very helpful owners. Will certainly be returning.

Wonderful time, lovely Lisa and Keith have created the perfect haven for a relaxing stay in the Yorkshire dales. Plenty of delightful touches that mean we will definitely be back!
That we had to leave!
The hotel owners Lisa and Keith were very friendly and welcoming. Delicious breakfast, and lovely room.We would definitely stay there again.
We really enjoyed our stay, a truly relaxing atmosphere. Lisa and Keith excellent hosts nothing to much trouble.
location, tv history of the house. comfort and size of rooms (we had farnon room). Helpfulness of owners. Good choice of breakfast and well cooked. Just 5 rooms so breakfast not rushed or too many people.
Nothing negative to say.
Very welcoming and helpful. Very tastefully decorated. Spacious bedroom Excellent breakfast Pub opposite with gorgeous food, great beer and open fire
Timeless setting. Beautiful views. Large, comfortable, well appointed rooms. Highly recommend. Keith and Lisa take a pride in their business and were excellent hosts.
Everything really! Very comfortable and every amenity that you could wish for. Very friendly kind hosts. We enjoyed our brief stay.
Nothing at all for this paragraph.
Lisa and Keith were extremely friendly and very welcoming. Our room was large, beautifully decorated, comfortable and well-equipped. Any b&b that supplies wine glasses and a corkscrew gets our vote! Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Lots of walks on the doorstep, and interesting places to visit in the area. Good choice of evening eateries just up the road. Altogether, a really pleasant and relaxing stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Skeldale House, all facilities were absolutely wonderful & the owners were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
This is probably one of the best bed and breakfast that we have ever stayed at, the rooms are amazing, huge and comfortable, everything you could possibly wish for, the hosts are so friendly and breakfast was great, will definitely be going back.
A lovely, well run guest house. Keith and Lisa (proprietors) were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We'd like to return again some day.
We had a lovely trip to the Dales which was definitely enhanced by our choice of B and B. Our room was exceptionally comfortable and very peaceful - slept like a baby! We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts especially the great scrambled eggs. The whole place showed a real attention to detail and the housekeeping was immaculate. Askrigg is a lovely village to stay in and everyone was so cheerful and friendly. It's really nice to be able to walk to the pubs and we had some great food.
Our Room the Farnon, was spacious and light with lovely views over the rooftops to the dales beyond. The furnishings, were tasteful and full of character which complimented the lovely fireplace. not to mention the quality bedding and well equipped bathroom which had a shower and bath. Our hosts were lovely, friendly and helpful and the breakfast was gorgeous We had a fabulous stay at Skeldale house and plan to come back in the Autumn.
Having to come home!!
Friendly hosts, a house with character, spacious and comfortable room, great breakfast, good value for money, good location in Wensleydale
Immaculately restored house. Very comfortable. Beautiful village.
Because the weather was wet and cold it took a while to get warm in the high ceiling, single glazed rooms.
Everything. Breakfast superb choice and quality Room was huge Comfortable bed Excellent shower/bathroom Friendly hosts with lots of local knowledge
Wonderful service at breakfast and delicious food. Beautiful decor and comfortable bed. Traditional and modern furniture mixed with taste in each of the rooms. Well fitted and warm bathroom, exceptionally clean. And of course if you're a fan of All Creatures Great and Small (James Herriott), you'll appreciate the nod to the books/TV series in the naming of the rooms. We stayed in the Darrowby and Drovers rooms!
The rooms were a little cold in February but a fan heater in the room warmed them up instantly. We wouldn't complain. The heating in the bathroom was on all the time, which made it feel very luxurious.
