Skerrols Ho. was just beautiful--rooms, furnishings, art on the walls. The breakfast was delicious. The whole place was light and bright and modern. Tomas the owner/operator was super-gracious. SH could/should be one's base of operation on Islay.

The lighting in the sitting room was inadequate for reading.

Brilliant service, well looked after by Thomas, who couldn't have been more helpful. Amazing location and high quality accommodation. You pay for the quality, but it is delivered, and is worth it.

Host Thomas is born for his job. He likes giving comfort to his guests. Nice house, spectacular views and very very good local breakfast.

Thomas is the perfect mine host - warm, welcoming and very helpful. The hotel is in a quiet location but is only a short walk from the village of Bridgend. The hotel is tastefully decorated throughout and is spotlessly clean. The breakfasts are comprehensive with an array of fresh and dried fruits, cheese, cereals, cold meats and all the usual offerings. Nearly all produce is locally sourced.

Nothing I would heartily recommend Skerrols House Hotel to anyone.

Everything was great to the fine details. The hosts, the food, the location, the view and the room. We will never forget our visit there. What a pleasure!

Lovely house with beautiful rooms and great service. Would definately visit again.

Recomendations would possibly be a small fridge in the rooms or/and availability of a possible packed lunch option to make 100% perfect.

Skerrols house is a bit off but definitely worth the trip. It's one of the best B&B we have ever stayed at.

Excellent location Clean rooms Good breakfast Overall very comfortable stay

Very expensive for a bed and breakfast . Although was very good but it ended up £185 per night .Also it would have been nice if they had offered Cot bed for the children without any extra charges

Thomas was a magnificent host and provided at hearty breakfast.

Our room had a shared bathroom but this wasn't a problem for us as the other guests weren't there most of the time. I believe this winter the two rooms sharing the bathroom will be made into a family suite.

Beautifully appointed house, fairly spacious room, very clean and comfortable. Welcoming host. Our room faced the front lawn where we could see bunnies nibbling grass, which was very cute. Breakfast was delicious. Location is quiet and out of the way, very peaceful, but only short drive to places of interest.

Our room's 'private' bathroom was actually down the hallway and around the corner from the room - it was for our exclusive use, however it was not very convenient, as had to step out into the common hallway to get there. Not sure how the other rooms are set up. But apart from that, fantastic place.

Breakfast food was very good, especially smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. Manager (owner?), nice young Polish fellow, was very nice.

First night getting ice was no problem, 2nd night seemed like an imposition since it was Manager's dinner time -- maybe a better arrangement could be made. "Walking distance" only if you are ready for a 2-mile hike. In the rain, probably! Seemed a little pricey at £120 / night.
