Very nice quiet room which I had requested with my booking. Spacious and comfortable room with a lovely large bed. Information on the tv guide re: hotel facilities was very helpful. Bar staff and breakfast staff were very helpful and professional. Good value for money. Have stayed here before and will stay again.
Would have liked a room service list either in the room or on the tv screen. Didnt think the bar was very comfortable. Poor atmosphere.
Room, Bar area,food
Rude head receptionist, pizza boxes left in wardrobe
The room with a four poster bed lovely bathroom with a jacuzzi bath was clean warm and very comfortable celebrating ruby wedding aniversary with our children and grandchildren had a lovely weekend Sunday lunch was delicious staff work very hard and friendly and polite well done sketchley grange we will be back .
We were disappointed that we weren't able to have any treatments as they were all booked up so have to make a return journey to spend vouchers that had been bought for us .
Staff, helpful and friendly
Old mattresses Old decor
Me and my partner thought the hotel was lovely, Our room was very modern and the views and grounds were beautiful. All the food was nice and we thought the facillities were great! we will definetly be returning.
Not being there long enough :(.
Close to M69. Good room size.
Mould in bathroom, peeling wallpaper, tired carpet. Dismissive service at reception. No room service menu (reception say look on tv system but only shows restaurant menu)
No gluten free meal option evening meal so had to go out for dinner
The pool, the hotel room and the staff
The noise, we should have been warned there was an event and families with young children put in the quiter rooms.
OLD FASHIONED FURNITURE OF POOR QUALITY SOME ITEMS BROKEN. CARPET LARGE WORN PATCH.WALLPAPER YELLOW AND SAD.ROOM LISTED AS STANDARD ,BUT WAS BELOW STANDARD
clean, great pool,lovely comfortable room
food was overpriced and awful, when we queried the price( we were overcharged) the barman was rude & could,nt be bothered
Location was ok staff helpful pool spa/sauna etc was good
room rather tired looking, carpet worn, bathroom door, cracked due to wet floor. Morning staff in kitchen below my room very noisy, banging and shouting from 7.00am
I liked the leisure centre ,gym, swimming pool
Wi-Fi was not good in our room
Room décor and facilities were poor and in need of updating. Bed and linen worn and dirty. Certainly not worth the rates compared with other premium hotels.
The room was excellent Area was excellent Peaceful
Sophie on Reception on Saturday was friendly and charming.
Duty manager? at the Only Fools and 3 courses dinner was surly, rude and clueless..... Reception and bar staff didn't know event was on which was worrying.
Leisure facilitites, outside areas, size of room, everything outside of room was lovely, good value for the money
Bathroom needed renovating due to cracking tiles, outdated bath and shower suite. Damp in corner and peeling wood veneer on bathroom door with mould forming. Bed was very uncomfortable, small double and sagged in the middle so that me and my boyfriend kept "rolling" into each other. Terrible nights sleep. Room was way too hot too and no fan or decent opening window.
Warm reception, comfortable rooms, good gym and pool facilities. Good value for money.
The politeness of the staff and their eagerness to help. the selection at the breakfast.
Room a little jaded with cup rings on surfaces giving a poor first impression.
Food is bland and poor choice Some staff are good
Lovely spacious room and bathroom. Nice pool.
Aircon unit was far too noisy. Our room overlooked the terrace and was up the end by the conference and banqueting suites so sadly two of our three nights stay were very disturbed by the nose from those.
We were in the new section, and it was lovely. Nice spacious rooms, big beds, and beautiful bathroom.
My father in-law was in the old section. His room was drab, bathroom was mouldy and badly dripping shower. He was not overly impressed
Manager discounted room rate on check out after I listed issues with room
Windows to room open on arrival, the room was full of flies. The spiders webs in the corner of the room managed to catch quite a few which saved me a job. Springs almost coming through mattress on double bed, very uncomfortable. Whilst looking for hotel information folder we opened draw in bedside table only to discover a damp, dirty towel in it. Oh and there was ivy growing under the window sill on the inside of the room. reported issues to reception but couldn't change rooms as hotel full.
pool and leisure facilities and breakfast
Great place to stay, clean, good value, didn't have breakfast though.
Nothing it was lovely, I liked the old character of the place before though, but now it's modern style is clean, not to my taste but still lovely.
