The young staff were very friendly. Public areas of hotel seemed to have very good atmosphere. Room very dated. Bed broken. Room had horrible odour. Complained about the room but no action taken, management not evident.. |

Nothing inside the hotel - location and access to the mountains was the only good thing. Mostly everything. Too noisy, too hot, - website etc promised luxury and for the price paid (£358 2 nights) for a "deluxe" room we were bitterly disappointed. Will never, ever stay again. I know that Keswick offers better than this in purely B+B accommodation. Even the details were unacceptable - the bath plug didn't work! |

Hotel with a sense of history. Very central for walking and shopping. Parking arrangements very good, even though not on site. would go back. Directions to rooms could be better. |

The room was clean, the breakfast was nice and the location central to Keswick The hotel is by far the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in, I was woken up early on both mornings I stayed there. It wasn't so much because of the nightclub but moreso the sounds of adjacent residents and the market traders setting up. It was also a bit warm, which meant we had to open the window, which made it even noisier! |

The hotel is in the centre of Keswick, but also close enough to climb the mountains surrounding it. |

Liked the central position in relation to the town. Liked the small town itself with its many bars, restaurants and shops in a compact area. Breakfast was good and attended to quickly. Price was reasonable in relation to other hotels in area (although was reduced from normal price). Mountain view from 'Summit Room' was disappointing as mostly blocked by roofs of nearby houses. |

The room was newly refurbished and v. clean. Bathrobes were provided which is always a good sign. Breakfast staff were friendly and hard working. The receptionist was offhand and didn't seem to enjoy her work. She could also have taken more care of her appearance. |

the hotel was clean and the staff very helpfull and friendly good value for money the fact that booking .com did not tell us we were put in a smokers room and it was right above a nightclub.the hotel told us you new about this but you never told us. we had to be moved during the night to a cottage next to the hotel. |

Staff very helpful Parking acceptable but a bit of a pain - having to se the main town car park is ok but not if you wanted to return to the hotel before 4pm because it was always full, Probably impossible in summer season! |
