Skiddaw Hotel  

The cleaniness of the rooms and location.

I thought the standard of food wasn't as good as a couple of years previous ! The decore around the hotel appeared a bit datedi.e dado rails with borders ! xx

the room was very clean and tidy. Liked the fact that it was very modern as well. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Old designed building, old style lift not really good access for people with limited mobility. Restricted views from some of the rooms

Staff were amazing couldn't help you enough and knowledgeable of the place. Lovely place and an excellent hotel. It's a dog friendly hotel but you could not tell at all that dogs are allowed in the hotel as you can with other hotels. I'd stay again without dogs as it's such a lovely hotel just to stay at.

We liked the friendly atmosphere both with staff and other guests. The cleanliness was excellent and a menu with plenty of choice.

loved the hotel and the staff.the room was excellent I believe it was one of your better rooms, decor and comfort 1st class.

would not like the room on summer nights with the pizza tables under the window, room 16. no idea where the liesure facilities are

the food was very poor, the cumbrian breadfast was bland and tastless fish was overcooked and not quite sure how for 2 poached eegs, one was undrcooked and the other overcooked overall the hotel was overpriced and over rated

Friendly efficient reception. Lovely bathroom with good shower and comfortable room. Good breakfast with plenty of coffee. Dog friendly. Good central location in Keswick.

Dog not allowed anywhere where food served so had to eat out. We were a large family group and struggled to find an area in the bar where we could all sit together - perhaps a residents only bar would be a good idea.

the bed especially the pillows. It was too hot but when window was open it was too noisy. The breakfast finished too early for us.

Staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean and newly refurbished. Breakfast was very nice.

Modern friendly hotel, with easy parking at rear of hotel. Excellent food served in restaurant and bar. Close to all shops and pubs, short walk to the lake.

room good with very comfortable bed and linens. Quiet. Food good. Very friendly staff.

Alot of stairs carrying cases as we were at the top lift only went so far.

Individual and Friendly. Good service in the restaurant. We had fantastic views of Cat bells which was a lovely surprise.

Bath was too small and no bath robes in the room.

We have used the Skiddaw on several occasions and have never been let down, on this occasion we were allocated the Poets room which was fantastic, a great room, very spacious and comfortable. The hotel is central to Keswick, close to all ammenities as well as the mountains with fantastic views and walks.
