A good friendly base for exploring from - brilliant for groups of friends as you can use the breakfast room as a communal area. Nothing - there are no unnecessary frills just what you really need!

Friendly staff, good breakfast choices, close to Heathrow with easy access via underground. The room was large enough for the 3 adults and 1 teenager in our group, and plenty of towels.Nice place to stay. The place was a short walk from the underground and it seemed to be a good area and well lit. We took a 10 minute walk into the main area of town which had alot of shops, etc. We will use the hotel the next time we come. Minor things were missing or not working such as no remote for tv or instructions to operate. No soap in bathroom but they did bring the items when asked.

My 5 year old daughter and I overnighted at the Skylark on a layover halfway through a gruelling 2 day journey from my parents home in Southern France to Western New York. We were exhausted by the time we got there. It was much closer to and easier to find from the Tube station than it appeared on the map, less than 2 minutes walk. My first impression walking in the door on a cold, wet December day was, it's warm and it smells nice! Check in was really easy and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. The room was quite small and basic but clean, well presented and very comfortable. Soft carpets, soft sheets, cozy bedding, hot showers, just what you want when on the road. Although we had to leave too early for our flight from Heathrow to get breakfast, they showed us where we could make coffee or tea on the house and find milk and juice for my daughter. There was a nice dining area where they didn't mind if we brought in take-out and hung out. A friend who met us there and stayed the same night and did have breakfast said it was very good. I really liked the atmosphere and it was just what we needed. Including walking to the station and buying train tickets it took less than 20 minutes to get to Heathrow Terminal 4 door-to-door. No complaints. Couldn't get the wi-fi to work but on the other hand I wasn't there to play around on Facebook. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Stayed as we were a couple & two friends up for the rugby at Twickenham. Good location as wanted B&B with parking, not too far from the M4 & within easy reach of the rugby stadium & bars, but without going too far into London. Pleasant friendly welcome, decent breakfast in morning & clean en-suite room. Comfortable bed. said there were tea/coffee facilities in room, but there wasn't.

Fine hotel economically priced. I arrived from Heathrow on an early morning layover and was able to check in by 11 am, which was good. Many hotels require you to wait until 2 pm.It is convenient to the Picadilly tube line near Heathrow, I was there in a few minutes.

Friendly staff , when we discovered feas in our bed they quickly moved us to another room. the kitchen was ok for use to make our own tea and coffee.Breakfast was good.location very close to the tube .The staff got us a couple of bottles of wine to apologise for the fleas would have sooner had a partial refund on 1 night but better than nothing.Cheap and cheerful on the whole. We didnt like the fleas , the walls were thin , the toilet in our room was reverse in and walk out . the people in the next room were very noisey , doors banged as if the door closures were failing. the shower was also reverse in and walk out. I am 6ft and 15 stone so not over large. The

The beds were very comfortable and very welcoming after a long day of walking around London. The close proximity to the tube station and Heathrow airport. Not being charged to park my car on site. I feel for the price I paid the shower could have been in better condition, the shower head would not stay in a position to where I could stand underneath the water. During my stay they were doing so remodeling, the construction started at 0730 in the morning and woke us up, I feel this could have happened later in the morning taking the guest sleeping into consideration.

The word appaling is not in the above list. The room stunk and I was advised to block the shower tray plughole with toilet roll. This place was a midden and I am appalled you have it on your website. Give me my moneyback!! See above and refund. I am a great customer - not a vey happy one as you can see.

It was close to the Piccadilly Tube line; I was coming in from the Lake District to Euston Station, was leaving from Heathrow the next day, and wanted a place within easy reach of the airport. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, and made an excellent restaurant recommendation. The shower stall was essentially unusable: the shower system leaked continuously, and the shower itself had hair in it from previous user(s). I did a "sink-bath" without benefit of a washcloth. From somewhere water was leaking on to the floor around the sink. Even though the weather had turned hot, and this was a second-floor room, the only covering on the bed and a thick and heavy comforter. A sheet would have been enough cover; the blanket was suffocating. I had to get used to the idea (I think I remember from my childhood in Peru) of leaving the room key at the front desk when you went out. I don't know what the purpose of this is today, and spent some time worrying about the security of my room in my absence. Nothing bad happened. In the AM, breakfast was cheerfully prepared and served, but was very, very basic: As a vegetarian I got half a small tomato, a crispy and greasy hash-brown patty, two eggs, and toast. Coffee was do-it-yourself instant. It was adequate, but not particularly attractive.
