No wifi in room ...location....room quality, congested , very old structure
The restaurant. It is italian and the food and service is good
The TV wouldn't work properly. I don't drink, so TV was supposed to be my entertainment, but it wasn't. The receptionist, though trying tp be helpful was struggling with English
The breakfast was good
It was too cold in the bathroom, lack of towels. Bed was not comfortable. Not enough pillows. no shower gel/ shampoo in the bathroom. The cleanliness was poor especially in the bathroom.
Good breakfast and breakfast service.
Room was cold and the radiator was not working. Noisy - loud conversation coming up through floor even at 3am in the morning!
Lovely breakfast area and sheets and towels changed daily, pleasant staff, decent location within main facilities, very helpful staff saw to all of my requirements
Cleanliness and presentation of room was below my expectations
The room was comfortable and we were given in the second floor that i can see the main entrance which i like. Breakfast is ok but would be happier if the portion is bigger.
The staff were not very friendly should smile more. Booked for two but only one set of towels were given. Other guests in adjacent room were speaking so loudly until around 3 am...and sound proof system is not good as it disturbs us and we can hear all of their conversations.
Staff, room, mattress incredibly uncomfortable, no heating on all night, freezing cold. Room Was filthy particularly the bathroom. Plug socket hanging off wall IN FAMILY ROOM!! They Had no doubles so we were given a family room. Staff member later told us not to use the single bed suggesting the cleaning is very poor which was evident
Wery great breakfast!
Good value for money.
Kind of laziness in the service (not willing to book taxi, not quick to provide iron for shirts).
The beakfast was very good and cooked to order
Hotel charged me £60 for a £48 booking. The following facilites fell short of expectations: * No heating in the bedroom or bathroom * Bedding consisted of a fleece blanket inside a cotton cover (no duvet) * No toiletries in th bathroom
The evening meal in the restaurant and the breakfast
The room was not clean and a former occupants rubbish had not been removed. The external veranda is dirty with litter upon it. Curtains insecure. Bed side lights not working. Bulb missing. Lamp shades stained. Only 2 coat hangers. Bathroom ceiling paintwork come loose and flaking off. Bathroom carpet dirty. Accumulation of dust behind the sink pedestal. Soap holder insecure. Dusts under beds. Cob webs around wall light unit. Bathroom door damaged with very poor standard of repair.
Bedding was not clean and in the end we slept on top of the bed using a blanket out of our car. Duvets comprised of sheets wrapped round blankets which smelt of tobacco. Cheapest room available but you get what you pay for.
Room was massive
Eggs weren't cooked
Great guy on reception, nothing too much trouble
Tatty room, shower enclosure was pretty disgusting, cracked tiles, mould on walls etc, in desperate need of some TLC. Door closer falling off. Tatty wardrobe
Size of the room - The room I stayed in was massive. I had 2 2 seater sofas, a 1 seater, a kingsize bed, a massive bathroom and loads of space. There is a bar and restrant on site, they do takeaway too, the quality of food is really good.
The hotel is split into 2 buildings, I was in the secondary bit of the hotel. Every morning it smelt like s**t. You can hear everything from everywhere in that part of the hotel, not very good when you want to sleep early.
Fan in bedroom.
Fleece throws in linen instead of duvet. Bathroom was a work in progress. Staff not very welcoming and friendly.
The room was newly renovated, clean and airy. The Italian restaurant within the hotel was excellent. When we are next in the UK we will definitely stay at Skyways...
I liked cause it's affordable and very clean room but food wasn't good in that pub, just try to improve the food
Tv access and location.
Breakfast, size of room, quality of bed.
Mouldy bathroom Smell as you walked into hotel block
Close to Thorpe park
The room needed a little work done on it.
The hotel and the bar restaurant area are separate entities. Downstairs, in the bar and 'Italian' restaurant, all is new. Large screen viewing lounge and a three table pool room which also act as waiting areas for tyhe 'Italian' takeaways. Bar and menu prices are fine as is the service and the food. Breakfast is taken in the Italian section. Cereals, fruit juice and toast readily available and a cooked 'full English' served within minutes. One small sausage, one rasher of bacon, one fried egg and one tinned plum tomato. Served with a smile and small pot of coffee.
Upstairs, everything is tired and knocked about from years of use. All the floors creak; you hear everyone's movements in the corridors and rooms above. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms basically furnished, but the hotel section is very tired and needs refurbishing.
Spacious large room
Razor /light faulty Cooked breakfast on cold plates
Basic hotel with bar and restaurant next door Staff was helpful: they let us take our bicycles to the room
The breakfast was very good.
I booked three single rooms, on our arrival I was told that the hotel had made an error and there was only one single and a twin available, I was then told that we could have the room at a discount and he would only charge us £60 for the twin, this was the same price as on booking.com. The only reason that I accepted the rooms was because we had driven a fair way and it was a bit late to try and find another hotel. The twin room was overlooking the main road and there were some contractors staying at the hotel who decided to sit in the beer garden and make a noise until the early hours. I will not be booking the Skyways Hotel again.
