Slater’s is country inn and hotel with en suite rooms, a bar serving traditional ales and home-cooked food, and a weekend restaurant. Slater’s is 10 minutes’ drive from the M6 (junction 15). Slater’s has rooms with queen-size beds on the 1st floor, and rooms with twin beds on the ground floor. Each has a TV, tea/coffee, hairdryer, trouser press and ironing facilities. The restaurant at Slater’s is open on Friday and Saturday evenings, and on Sunday lunchtimes. Meals are available in the bar at other times. Slater’s Craft Village is a short stroll away, with shops and Curio’s Tea Rooms. Two stopovers on way to and from the Lake District. A great venue with a very friendly welcome and atmosphere. Our room was a good size and well appointed. The evening food was excellent - good choice,quality and service. Lovely full breakfast to start the day. Have not had chance to explore local countryside but will be BACK hopefully for a longer stay. Frank & Gill --- Chorleywood, Herts.

The whole stay was perfect , nothing was too much trouble for the hotel staff and the restaurant staff . Our room was clean and nicely decorated . The food was very good and reasonably priced. We will definitely be going back . Nothing

Lovely room with good beds and spacious bathroom. Excellent food. No-one on reception at 6pm and had to find the main bar in a different building in the rain!

Our stay was made relaxing, all staff were friendly and very helpfull. The breakfast was very good and enjoyable with great service. Rooms were clean and comfetable. Would stay again next year for same event and recommend to anyone staying up there. No garden or parks near by for the kids

Lovely location, clean hotel in nice surroundings. Breakfast was excellent and very filling. Felt a bit rushed at breakfast - as staff clearing away breakfast items whilst still eating. Would have liked a pot of coffee rather than a small cup. Mattress on one twin bed uncomfortable and lumpy.
