Holiday Inn Express Shrewsbury    

Rooms large bed comfortable warm and friendly hotel.

No bacon for breakfast would have been nice.

Bathroom, huge towels and shower.

We found it quite noisy, not really people more creaking floor boards , cisterns. Curtains did not shut out light fully.

The rooms were large, the beds were comfortable & the bathrooms were well equipped & stocked. The location for Shrewsbury FC is ideal.

Although I was in a room rear to reception there was no noise of people coming and going. The staff were helpful. Breakfast was nice too.

The food wasn't great, oven chips were not value for money.

A very good clean hotel at a budget price.ideal for a short break very good breakfast,plenty to eat and a good variety,cereals,fruit,plus hot meal.

Possible the location was not ideal,though not too big a problem

Easy to access from the A5 if on a continuing journey (as we were) without the hassle of a city centre. Free parking. Room well presented and fresh. Great to have a good level of lighting and an adjustable desk-style chair. Good variety at breakfast

Slightly odd location in a business park but not a problem as only passing through. Would need to go a bit of a distance for an evening meal.

Only a short taxi ride into town. Easy to find, good car park.

Allocated room right next to the main road (Room 12) that suffered from road noise all night, had very little sleep. Did ask to be moved but pretty boy on reception didn't seem too interested. Booked for 2 nights, left after one and paid to stay elsewhere

There was a lot of crumbs on the floor near bedhead area. Otherwise the cleaning was not bad.

A useful hotel for an overnight stay on a journey. Staff friendly and hotel clean and comfortable.

The only outdoor seating area was not cared for with high grass around a couple of picnic style wooden tables and benches.

Very handy for Salop Leisure which was he purpose of our visit

We were told that the bus ran on Saturdays but this is not true. Other people we spoke to were also given this information. Fortunately someone told us they don't operate on Saturdays so we used the park and ride. The correct information would have been much better for us.

The rooms are really nice and clean and couldnt ask for more for value for money we visited once and enjoyed it and then chose this hotel again for our second trip to shrewsbury. very helpful staff.

our first trip was fantastic but our second trip was not good at all we stayed in room 110 above the smoking bench outside and we got no sleep at all until about 3.30 in the morning due to so much noise from the other guest outside and doors banging from the stairs. i am due to return to shrewsbury in september and would consider using this hotel again on the basis we had a better room otherwise i would strongly consider using the premier inn where there policy is if you dont get a great night sleep you get your money back. it was such a shame because our first trip went so well.

Easy to find. Clean and tidy also very friendly and helpful staff.

Hot breakfast left a little to be desired. Sausages eere awful and sloppy scrambled egg however there was so much choice this was not really a big issue.

Spacious room. Excellent commodities in the room. Very comfortable beds. Modern bathroom area in pristine condition. (chambermaids do a good job of work.) Very wide range of choice for breakfast. Secure car park. Quiet atmosphere throughout the Hotel. Plenty of staff on duty. Rooms ready well before expected arrival time.

Confusion over whether we had paid when we checked in.

Generally the whole Holiday Inn experience. The price, the comfort, the quality are the same high standard wherever I stop

Good value with breakfast included. Handy location with free parking. Quiet.

Food at dinner was a little stodgy

The location for me was perfect, the room was a nice size and internet was free.

Evening meal options were very basic, and I chose to eat elsewhere. However my biggest and only problem here was the fact that my sink plug was jammed and so when I filled up the sink that was how it stayed for the duration. I advised the reception of this and no new room, or indeed any refund of any amount was offered, which shouold of been. So be warned people, and becuase of this I wouldn't reccomend to anyone without warning.
