    Staff were nice.

Poor quality bed and mattress. Room dark dismal. Would not recommend.

The general feel of the building. Loved the room, outside, was it an old stable block from days gone by? So comfy, with a lovely view. The carvery was out of this world. Loads of meat and a nice hot meal. Prices at the bar were realistic, for a village pub. Lancaster in general, I fell in love with. People were so friendly.

    Nothing. We'll be back!

The family room is very spacious and by far the best we had in the two weeks away. Staff were very friendly and food and ales were of excellent quality.

Breakfast was too pricey...we went for the continental option as neither of the children will eat enough to justify the full English price. Suggest a child friendly price would help with this.

    Location and privacy

Cobwebs and spiders in corner of bedroom. Mattress needs renewing _ sags in middle.

Plain and simple but excellent value for money. Everyone had a very good sleep and we could see the sea from one window. Very large room for four.

Would like wifi in rooms and biscuits with tea and coffee. Decor could do with brightening up - very brown.

We were greeted immediately at the bar and shown our room which was lovely. We feel in love with the interior painted beams and cottage style appearance of the room with a modern twist. Had a drink at the bar and the staff were very lovely and made us feel welcomed.

Staff were lovely and so helpful Restaurant was beautiful Family room was spacious

Didn't serve breakfast until 8.30 which was too late for us with little kids. Wifi didn't work which I couldn't report when I found out as no phone in room and kids were sleeping. Room cleaning was not great.

Really large bedroom with a huge bathroom. Room was clean and comfortable. Just a short trip off the motorway so easily accessible. Did not have breakfast but did have an evening meal which was great. Nice steak cooked properly.

Staff at the slyne lodge could not be faulted. Beautiful setting. Food brilliant. Good room with extremely comfortable bed.

Bathroom could've been a bit cleaner. Mold on blind & shower guard did not fit against bath properly so water leaked all over the floor but only minor problems & we would stay again.

Excellent hard working staff, extremely pleasant and helpful, expecially the Polish manageress. There's huge potential for this hotel, get new chef, sort out room decoration and replace bar furniture. The public rooms have a good rustic feel to thrm

Poorly decorated rooms with previous paint still clearly visible. Levels incorrect in wet room so that shower water did not drain efficiently, strange loud screech from water system at times. Food, had meal deal lunch which, whilst inexpensive left a good deal to be desired, breakfast OK

At around 11 pm we were looking for somewhere to stop the night travelling south from Glasgow. The group included an 8 months pregnant lady and two OAPs. The booking was confirmed but when we reached there was no one at the Hotel reception (a pub) to attend. We kep calling the no. but no one answered. We finally gave in and left.

    The Restaurent meal only

First impressions count for a lot. Two members of staff lacked enthusiasm to firstly show us to our room. Almost like it was too much effort. We were overcharged for our stay, which wasn't the price as agreed through bookings.com. It took almost a month to get the refund. The room decor very dated and gloomy. Very noisy water pipes waking you up. A bathroom window which didn't shut properly. No lock on the bathroom door. A casually dressed member of staff -just one member to serve and make breakfast for all guests staying, hence a slow fragmented arrangement. A noisy location on the side of a very busy road. The hotel side of the business seems almost like an afterthought- situated in accommodation behind the main Restaurent. Didnt really rate our stay.

The room was clean and comfortable.

A female member of staff (Maggie) was ignorant and rude, which actually tarnished the visit as I was so agitated by her attitude. Arrived on possibly the hottest day ever, and no fans for rooms and windows could barely be opened.

Went for a meal which was lovely

The double bed was soft. Had a toaster in bedroom but no cutlery or plates for the toast, it had just changed owners .
