Separate entrance to room from outside. Reasonable quality of furnishings for the money. Good parking facilities
Not the best bed I have slept in.
the building itself, the interior was attractive and well presented, ambience was good, staff were very helpful and pleasant, our room was spacious with everything we needed, beds and bedding very good [one doesnt always get good bedding in these places!]and outside, the garden/grounds-very pleasant to sit outside. All in all a good experience. would definately stay there again
no negatives at all
Nearness to the motorway.
Inability to have a breakfast before 8.30am
The staff were extremely helpful especaily as I am disable and walking is very very painfull. The meal was lovely we will be booking again in the near future as my son lives 7min. Away
The only fault was As disable a shower was needed instead of the bath that's the only fault
Well kept, BIG family room, great staff, excellent Pub attached.
Beds were uncomfortable, and the shower screen needed looking at, but a few new mattresses and a quick look at the shower would make this place near perfect to stay at.
Warm welcome, family room very spacious with all amenities, good bar and restaurant.
Good ratio quality price
Slyne Lodge was well located. My daughter and I were upgraded to the family room with our pet dog which gave us lots of space. The Tea/ Coffee tray was great and well stocked. We ate there one night and thought it was good value.
Thought it was strange that you had to pay in advance, most places take an impression of your credit card so you could add extras and pay at the end of your stay. Breakfast hour was 8.30-9.30 only which with a teenager was a little limiting. And we had been told there was such a choice of breakfast but slightly disappointing- great Full English but no beans, had to ask for jams/marmalade, no choice of brown or white bread for toast.
Staff were nice.
Poor quality bed and mattress. Room dark dismal. Would not recommend.
The general feel of the building. Loved the room, outside, was it an old stable block from days gone by? So comfy, with a lovely view. The carvery was out of this world. Loads of meat and a nice hot meal. Prices at the bar were realistic, for a village pub. Lancaster in general, I fell in love with. People were so friendly.
Nothing. We'll be back!
Dogs accepted. Fabulous cooked breakfast. Very spacious, well appointed room Clean and tidy. Lots of parking.
The family room is very spacious and by far the best we had in the two weeks away. Staff were very friendly and food and ales were of excellent quality.
Breakfast was too pricey...we went for the continental option as neither of the children will eat enough to justify the full English price. Suggest a child friendly price would help with this.
Location and privacy
Cobwebs and spiders in corner of bedroom. Mattress needs renewing _ sags in middle.
Plain and simple but excellent value for money. Everyone had a very good sleep and we could see the sea from one window. Very large room for four.
Would like wifi in rooms and biscuits with tea and coffee. Decor could do with brightening up - very brown.
We were greeted immediately at the bar and shown our room which was lovely. We feel in love with the interior painted beams and cottage style appearance of the room with a modern twist. Had a drink at the bar and the staff were very lovely and made us feel welcomed.
No wifi in our room.
Nice enough place, friendly staff.
Staff were lovely and so helpful Restaurant was beautiful Family room was spacious
Didn't serve breakfast until 8.30 which was too late for us with little kids. Wifi didn't work which I couldn't report when I found out as no phone in room and kids were sleeping. Room cleaning was not great.
Big room, with all the expected amenities Good food in the restaurant although we arrived after the restaurant closing time Excellent value for money
Staff were polite and friendly. Family room was a nice size and Lodge itself was in a nice area. Beer garden was nice. Would visit again if things improved
Bed was uncomfy and kept banging head off the radiator as the single beds were in front of it. Basic things like coffees and toilet rolls were not replenished. Food was over priced and they cannot get a basic thing like a steak cooked to taste. Fish was dry and home made chips were partially raw. If you are starving don't expect the food to fill you up. There were some dubious marks on the curtains and the carpet was dirty, the rooms need modernising. Breakfast is over priced at £9 each and not worth the money Don't expect a large bar as the photos show as it is very small and not well stocked as may be believed
Very pretty location easy access off M6
There was nothing that we did not like .oh maybe the chef forgot our eggs with the full English breakfast ha but they did follow shortly after !!!!!
Good food Clean rooms
the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in, in a hotel.
fan in bathroom took ages to turn off.
Very spacious and comfortable family room. A huge bathroom A good breakfast
Dietary requirements not passed to staff.
Really large bedroom with a huge bathroom. Room was clean and comfortable. Just a short trip off the motorway so easily accessible. Did not have breakfast but did have an evening meal which was great. Nice steak cooked properly.
