The courtains of the bed. The washbasin in the rooms. Mixed toilets. Lack of duration of tap wather that makes you press constantly in both washbasin and shower. Lack of plags which makes impossible to charge the mobile phone or other devices easily

I arrived around 21:00 from elsewhere in the uk and left around 06:00 to catch the earliest Eurostar at St Pancras. For this purpose, the hostel suited me well: cheap and a 10 minute walk from the station. For all other purposes and for longer stays, I would not go back nor recommend it. 12 persons in 1 room, stacked in 3 rows above each other. Like sleeping in pigeon holes! Very little space next to the beds to walk in the room and put luggage. Unpleasant smell in the room. Because there were so many people in 1 room, the window stayed open whole night -> much noise from the street and rather cold. Windows without curtains, so light on top of that. Noise + cold + light = bad sleep. Noise from fellow guests too, both in and outside the room. This hostel is a better place than a pedestrian tunnel or a railway station when waiting for a train in London at night, but don't expect anything more than that.

My room is cold. When I asked they said it was not cold enough for heat. I think this is ridiculous. I realized that this is my first stay in a hotel in a cold place. I also realized that a hotel has never told me "It's not hot enough for air-conditioning," The air- conditioner has always been under my control and not subject to managements subjective opinion of what is hot enough, I have decided to talk again to the manager and I hope it does not become unpleasant. I hope he does not tell me "If your hands are cold put on some gloves." the way he told me to " put on a blanket," In my opinion I should not have to wear a blanket when working at the desk because the management doesn't think it's cold. I would not recommend this hotel to travelers that want to be comfortably warm in their rooms, If a traveler enjoys being cold, than the Albion Hotel Glasgow is for them.

The location is perfect. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We stayed for only one night so I can't really comment on the breakfast and staff. You pay £10 as deposit for the bed linen which they return to you when you check out and return the linen, but still this wasn't mentioned when I was booking my room and it can be an unpleasant surprise if you are traveling on a tight budget.

I liked how helpful the staff were and the location for the price. It was really clean if basic and perfect if you just want somewhere to put your stuff while exploring and a place to sleep. I've stayed a few times and always had a nice time. being in a basement room as there were alot of steep stairs which made carrying bags down harder.

Friendly staff. A bit more attention could be taken of the cleaning of the bunks. One bunk in the dorm could have done with a good clean, i am not sure if someone had been sick or spilled something in it.

The location of the hostel os really great for this value of money. Curtain on the bed, for the privacy. Staff was friendly, also basic breakfast is ok. Common room is pretty nice place to meet new people. Internet was rally slow, impossible to use at the evening, when everybody wants to use it. Showers were smelly and dirty most of the time. As corridors in the basement. Not enough sockets in the rooms for 14people we had only 4sockets.

The stuff was not nice, you have to pay for the bags storage £2 each, the showers are only in the basement, the toilets are really small and crowded. Doesn't look very clean, and the overall ambiance is not fun.

If your happy to share rooms this is a cheap option for an overnight stay (always hate paying loads of cash for a room I hardly see). Secure lockers so no problem about possessions.

Pleasant staff. They could do with having reading lights in the bunks, similar to another hostel in the area.

Well priced budget hostel. The staff were pretty friendly and the hotel was located in the heart of London. The entrance wasn't really signposted. I walked all the way down the street and back before I found the place.

£10 for a bed in London, near Oxford street and got a good night sleep. Be warned, they said I couldn't check-in because I had no photo id, I had to argue it doesn't say bring id on the booking.com website then they let me check-in

They had what appeared to be a newish pillow on the bunk I had. Much better quality than the one I had last time. Not a lot to dislike really, as long as you don't expect frills you won't be disappointed. Although I think it would be better if they had some toilets just for females, it appears men are not very good at aiming.
