It is close from the underground. It is located at the next block from Russel Squre station. It is NOT easy to find the hotel, because I can't find any guide, or index for the hotel when I am out from the underground. I didn't expect much honor at the information, but they are not polite enough. I found many guests, that seemed to make them tired. But they are not professional. It is just cheap youth hostel. Do not expect to much. If you want to save your money, it is OK. But if you travel as business, it is NOT recommandable.

This is a packed like sardines hostel just fyi. If you got screwed and were a top bunk, the fluorescent lights would wake you up horribly when people would come in. And this is a packed like sardines hostel just fyi.

It's very close to many attractions in London, and very close to the King's Cross St. Pancras Internation Train Station. Very organized and seemed very clean. Room pretty hot, we had to let the window opened at night. In the middle of one night we saw three mice running through the room, looking for food. It wasn't easy to sleep after that.

It was a nice little hostel in the centre of the city. Walking distance to everything. Better breakfast than I thought it would be. A lot of nice people you could talk to. The receptionists couldn't really help you with anything. No locks for the lockers in the showers. Couldn't pay with card. Still bad breakfast...

The location is fantastic and the common area is great to sit in as you can get free wifi there. The beds are far to small, especially for anybody over 6ft tall. The room got really hot, i can't imagine what it gets like in the summer. Also the wifi didn't always work.

Wifi is not working when there are more than 10 people using it, the dorm and the shower room make you feel like you are in a prison, the showers either hot or cold and you can't tune it. The staff, especially at night, have no manner at all, and some of them even can't compose a complete sentence in English. They could charge you everything if they could, lockers, luggage storage, computers...please don't go

Not Much is there to like Smart Russell square hostel, except the location which is quite near to tube station. The Main reception staff not all expect one (male morning shift), not even concerned to say sorry. When I arrived at 11AM to check in the room is not ready yet wait for half an hour he told, after half an hour, he is saying it will take 2 more hours for the room to be occupied and just asked to wait, with out even saying sorry. He dosen't have any concern about the customer. He is simply rude.

I enjoyed staying in Smart Russell Hostel, community was great.Toilets are always clean and plenty of paper tissue, soap and there is no lack of hot water. A part of lobby is calm and relaxing. Breakfast could be better and plastic glasses and plates could be better :) Another part of the lobby or shared area is a little bit crowded and noisy..

The fact that the lounge becomes a social area in the evenings is great. Also that for this stay, my room was very close to the toilets. Previously it was quite a long walk. Russel Square is clean, cheap, secure and well located. This was my fourth stay and I hope there'll be many more. The rooms are always too hot. The window offered no real relief. There was also a pigeon nesting outside our window so we had to listen to it from 5am every morning. Pigeons, heat and hangovers don't go well together.

The location is perfect to take subway at Russell Square station. The staff there are not friendly, and too many facilities and service should be paid before used, such as locker and so called 'free key for shower'. Having waited for 3 hours, there is still no available key, dammit.

I had a very nice weekend, all the guests were just nice and polite in my room. The location is just perfect. I've enjoyed the mornings and evenings, I had always people to talk too. Some facilities were missing, eg: no where to put the coats in the rooms, and some light would be nice at the beds.

Location, price Dirty (some brown dried stuff on duvet cover that they hadn't changed, rubbish in bed that I had to clean up) and smelly room. Not a good hostel generally.
