The staff are friendly, good food.

No soap etc in the bathroom. Hairgrip on the side of the bath. Water left in the kettle. No spoons in the saucers at breakfast time. Being referred to as "you guys" by the male waiter as we entered the dining room. At dinner there was a grease spot as if spilt butter on the table and also butter/grease inside the napkin ring.

Nothing was too much trouble, me and my wife felt welcomed.

Friendly, relaxing, smart hotel. Bar staff very friendly & helpful.

Reception staff not very helpful, we complained our room had a smell of smoke, nothing was done. We used this hotel for our wedding in 2009, would have liked a more memorable return visit.

On the whole a good experience for just one night. If one wanted to be critical it would be easy to find fault. We were in room 19 facing the main road. This wasn't a problem although we would hear some traffic noise from this busy road, but in he summer with the window open it is likely to be more of an issue. Room 19 is also riight above a rather noisy refrigeration unit but it was switched off at 11pm so it wasn't 't a problem. Give it a go. It was good value and so very nearly perfect.

It was just right could not fault anything about the hotel, the food was excellent @ the evening and @ breakfast.

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel. Again it lived up to all expectations. Hotel is clean and facilities are of a very high standard. Staff in every department are extremely helpful; very professional and courteous It's a very pleasant, relaxing environment with a very modern high standard of furnishings, Overall a well appointed hotel. Food is excellent and the standard of service is great

Breakfast is served in a very well appointed area and is good. The hot breakfast is in a buffet form and therefore may not always feel freshly cooked. However, staff are very happy to take orders for items not on the buffet eg poached egg, porridge etc

we loved the whole feel of the place the atmosphere, the food, and the service were excellent, and great value for money, would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.

This is one of the best I have stayed in with all the facilities I required on my stay. The staff were first class and the food delicious.

Not at all homely, rooms not very well equipt, not even soap in bathroom

Friendly staff, good clean large room. Discount for Jan, made it a stay I would not normaly have done.

Food was not up to the image of the hotel. Had chicken ceasar salad, chicken was tough and the croutons were chewy, not crunchy.
