the breakfast are 15 mins late and never get any sugar with the tea so I end up with no tea and no time to eat the breakfast

Just small points but have repeated them so many times its not going in to the staff. Everytime I arrive I get the same question "have I stayed with them before" this day and age the computer systems kids use could tell them how many times I've stayed and when my last stay was.. I have my breakfast in my room which they ask in 15 min intervals when you want it, as above......

this hotel is way overpriced, we were attending a wedding there and suprise suprise there were no standard rooms avaliable so we had to have an " executive room" at 155 pounds, the room was ok but not really good enough for the price. I guess they have a captive audience. I would not expect to pay this much for this quality of hotel where ever it was.

austere atmosphere in reception area, bar, and restaurant. Personal, friendly touch missing. Food too adventurous for ordinary clientele.Traditional scottish fare was expected .Felt hotel took over spill from other local hotels.

Everything, the staff were very friendly and very well mannered from the cleaners to the manager, it was very clean, the food fantastic, the rooms wonderful, just brilliant in every way. We got married at Gretna Green and I would reccommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be treated extra special, we upgraded to the rose suite although quite abit more money it was worth.

The food although pricey was of an excellent standard and better than some 5 star I have stayed at. I would class it as an upmarket 4 star hotel.

The restaurant and bar area was small and the lack of a real reception area offering lounge type furniture for relaxing and having pre dinner drinks was a disappointment . The soft seating areas in the bar were full even although the hotel was quiet.
