The owners and staff of the hotel were very friendly and helpful, with full breakfast made to order by the Chef. Clean rooms, hot showers and comfy beds. Our two children under 10 years of age were made welcome, always. This is a classic 'pub' type hotel with the bars downstairs open to friendly locals, which added to our Highland experience. |

The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. The reception and courtesy of the staff was exceptional especially considering the price. Breakfast was not rushed and well cooked. |

The hotel was satisfactory for a short break or buriness trip.Everything necessary was provided without any paricular "frills". The shaver socket in the en-suite shower room did not have a modern ""round pin" socket and was therefore incompatible with my shaver and would have required an adaptor. |

It was convenient for Inverness airport and utterly functional. The breakfast was OK, the staff were friendly and helpful. The directions on their website are completely wrong. |

This hotel did not meet the standards as described in your advert. The hotel should not have been described as being an hotel, it was noisy, the room was noisy due to a water tank located somewhere above the room. There were no meals available, and there did not seem to be a night porter/desk. So how this place can be described as being an hotel is beyond me. The breakfast was inedible, tasteless and seemed to be budget quality food. |

Very friendly The room was clean and there was no problem but an empty shampoo packet was left on top of the shower controls suggesting perhap not enough attention to detail. This is just another minor point. When breakfast is served especially near an open window it would be better if it is served on a hot plate as bacon goes cold very quickly also to watch out that the toast doesn't get burnt. |

excellent breakfast to be included in price. picture of hotel in internet does not live up to reality and more like a pub with rooms. noisy when closing up hotel. room seemed to be above the cellar. |

Good value for money, even for one or two nights. Staff are nice and helpful. The room and the furniture are a bit "weary", but all was clean and well-equipped. Some people are complaining about the noise during the night (the hotel is actually above a pub), but we heard nothing. It may depend on where you get your room. |

The beds and rooms were clean, the staff were friendly. Convenient to the Culloden Battle ground. Rates were reasonable. Not what I had expected. The Smithon is actually a local pub and too far from town, not in Inverness at all, a more accurate description of it's location would be helpful. |

the room was clean and welcoming. the breakfast was excellent. the staff at breakfast were friendly and engageing. it was on a housing estate!! the bar when we arrived looked dark and uninviting so we didnt go in-at breakfast it was revealed as a lovely room. The man who showed to our room and checked us in was not as friendly as the other staff. |

From the moment we arrived at the reception desk we were made to feel welcome, by Jenny and every assistance required was offered readily. The views from our room on the second floor were breathtaking with pockets of snow still visible on the mountain tops. The breakfasts were delicious, well prepared, and pleasantly served. |
