The reception staff were welcoming and efficient. The food was excellent. The location was good and there were ample parking facilities. In addittion, there is a good local bus service from the hotel to the city centre. My wife and I would definite;y stay there again.

Very friendly staff, specially a gentleman at the front desk and pub (sorry to not remember his name, but I do remember his red hair): thank you very much, for making my stay a very pleasant one. Rooms are very clean and quiet, and breakfast nice and well served.

The owners Mr and Mrs Celli were really helpful. They recommended we visit Culloden Moor. This was well worth visiting. So glad we stayed there.

The staff were wonderful as I arrived absolutely exhausted after a very long hard days work. I left my phone charger in the room and they phoned me right away to inform me, knowing I was passing by later on that day to enable me to collect this vital piece of equipment. I was so delighted with the concern they showed. And a yummy fresh breakfast too!

This was a last minute booking and turned out to be a fantastic stay. We wanted somewhere in Inverness but the Smithton proved ideally situated and the food was very good too.

I've been travelling to Inverness for the past 7 years and always searched for hotels located within the city centre. However a few months ago I discovered the Smithton and as it was only a five minute drive away I decided to give it a try. The best thing I can say is that after that first stay I put it at the top of my search list for future visits. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful from the second you step through the door to the moment you leave. To be honest I should really give it a bad review because I want to keep it a secret so that I can continue to get great deals here but that would be totally unfair. It doesn't look much as you travel towards it but once inside you know you've made a good decision

Room was clean and adequate, kept very well by house staff. Little bit noisy on Saturday evening due to band in lounge bar but not overpowering and finished at 12.15am. My room (No. 16) was up two flights of stairs to keep me remote from noise of band ect. - wasn't at all disturbed. Overall this hotel was adequate+ for my requirements and would use it again

We thought the hotel great, room was lovely and cosy real homely feeling, staff were really nice, and the food was perfect. Noisy revellers early hours of the morning, banging doors about talking loudly made it difficult to sleep

Staff helpful and polite, breakfast fine, easy access to town via bus route. The room was too hot despite the window being open and there was a stale smell , like smoke? Didnt sleep too well.

I agree with the some of the other comments, from the outside, looks like pub with a hotel attached. First impressions, not great. However, nice welcome, decent room, internet working, good shower, decent breakfast, good service, easy check-out. Great for business travellers who want the essentials, but do want to be charged over the odds. Hotel is a bit dated, but what they lack in decor, they make up in good Scottish Hospitality in abundance !! And extractor fan, gotta go !!

Excellent breakfast, room was fine & clean. Very friendly staff. The walls are so thin all I could hear from the room nbext door or that opposiate was any cough, throat clearing, any time anybody took a wee or used the bathroom & the tv...... Not a place to actually get good sleep.I Am sure not all the rooms have the same issue.
