Enjoying panoramic views over the harbor and Torbay, the Quayside Hotel consists of 6 beautifully converted fishermen's cottages and retains a coziness and charm rarely found today.
Score from 237 reviews Very good
Set on a hill, overlooking the picturesque fishing town of Brixham, the 4-star Woodlands Guest House has modern bedrooms, free Wi-Fi and free parking at the back of the building.
Score from 76 reviews Wonderful
Only a 10-minute walk from the River Dart, the Manor is located just 1 and a half miles from the beach at Broadsands. Free Wi-Fi is available and private on-site parking is available.
Score from 109 reviews Excellent
This highly recommended, family-run guest house is set in its own grounds and is ideal for touring the area and enjoying the coastal walks that take in some of Devon's best scenery.
Score from 116 reviews Wonderful
noisy stairs not suitable for old people
Historical setting. Nice room, lovely breakfast.
I booked as a solo female thinking I could use bar & restaurant so I didn't have to walk into a place by myself. They closed bar & only use restaurant for breakfast. Wi Fi only works by hub in reception, so you have to sit there to use it. Place bit old fashioned but clean & tidy.
Breakfast great. Service great.
Coffee at breakfast is thin - more like brown weater than coffee.
Great, friendly hosts. Olde worlde atmosphere
The only issue is the parking situation at the council run car park. They are currently messing around with the parking overnight situation so nobody seems to sure if you have to pay after 9 o'clock at night and what time it all starts up again .the overnight option on the car park ticket machine did not give a positive result. However i didnt get a ticket and i left the carpark just before 9 the next morning.
this is right on the waterfront area about a 5 minute walk to the Golden hind.
Good value for money and friendly staff.
Unfortunately the hotel bar was closed for the winter which meant we had to go out for food. But plenty of eating places in Brixham to choose from. Also the Smugglers Haunt does not have on site parking but there is 24 hr car park (Oxen cove) that is a level 10/12 minute walk from the hotel. (Just over £3 for 24 hours).
Great location. Within easy walking distance to everything in Brixham. Really clean room and extremely comfortable bed. (Room 8)
Only slight gripe is the WiFi does not work in the rooms.
Very friendly staff, comfortable clean, quiet room & excellent freshly cooked breakfast.
management kind and friendly hotel was cosy and warm, good old fashion building, breakfast was superb, freedom to come and go as you please anytime, love the history of the building, would stay again
narrow stairs Hotel tucked out of the way
The granite walls and old style
Super room - comfortable bed- Great hosts - Could not be better for travel in Torbay and beyond. I will return Mike
Very friendly staff
Small, cold room directly above the bar, cold dining room, owner's husband very unfriendly. Shower leaked and thin old shower curtain stuck to you. To be fair the owner did give a partial refund but we won't be going back.
Within easy walking distance of the shops, bars and harbour.
Breakfast tomatoes have no flavour
Value for money Friendly staff Good breakfasts (except tomatoes)
Entrance and bar area rather depressing mainly due to no fires. people or atmosphere. Unable to watch tv in bed as positioned too high resulting in distorted picture. Outside lighting not usually turned on. Last time for breakfast 9 am..!!
Good location in the centre of Brixham. Excellent cooked breakfast served by a charming young lady. Offered what we were looking for over New Year holiday as simple bed and breakfast
The bed pillows were very uncomfortable!
Great location Very friendly staff and hotel has great character and pleasant atmosphere this was my 2nd visit and I will be going again
My partner and I stayed at the smugglers haunt as a weekend away to see my son. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. would recommend any to stay at the smugglers haunt. We will be booking at the smugglers haunt in the near future.
It had everything I needed for a comfortable nights stay.
Friendliness of staff, location of hotel to town, and a relaxed atmosphere.
I really can't find fault, and would recommend it to family and friends.
The location of the smugglers inn was great, just by the town and harbour.Very friendly landlord and the room was very clean and the breakfast first class.
We had no sleep due the drunks shouting and swearing most of the night, so bad we left in the morning although we had paid for another night, it was a big birthday celebration which was spoilt, not the hotels fault but unbearable, wont be going back to Brixham no police for over 30 minutes to sort out the louts
Hotel was clean, breakfast was wonderful,
Narrow stairs to get to the top bedroom! Also car parking was inconvenient.
Pleasant staff and a very good beakfast
Decor a bit tired
Great location Helpful staff Great bathroom (recent renovation?) Comfortable beds Good breakfast
Difficult parking on arrival in nearby pay and display. Not obvious from usual approach.
Comfortable, friendly feel. Warm welcome and sense of history/nostalgia
