location, warm rooms, shower, good breakfast..........staff
no parking in hotel grounds, on street parking but had to be payed for, decor of hotel ,
I booked a double room for me and my boyfriend for 2 night. We got a twin room with no mattresses on bed and no proper bedding. Other guests where having same trouble. Paid £80 for 2 night but stayed 1 night only. Very depressing place. Rooms r not clean and very small. Tv didnt had a remote and most shocking towel were not changed, they were dirty and wet with black short hairs on it. Staff were friendly but didnt know how to handle the guests and management was poor
Lovely room and really nice staff.
My breakfast was really badly burnt after waiting over half an hour for it. They said sorry and would replace it but really didn't want to wait another half hour as i had to check out of my room. Really surprised that it was served to me in this condition.
We booked this last minute from booking.com, it has "passable" as the description therefore I was slightly dubious about staying here if I'm honest. However, it really was a lovely hotel! The staff are so, so polite, friendly and make you feel so welcome, the room was clean and comfortable, and I felt safe and cosy...They upgraded us to £45 a night for a double room, with an ensuite- on a Saturday night I'd say this is brilliant! the town itself was small, and so friendly. My partner and I went for a few drinks in "the Globe" and I must say it was one of the most random, but great Sunday nights I have had- drinking Cider, singing the shoop shop song by Cher with locals along with my boo- the locals (who were "stokies" as well as the nicest travellers I have ever met) - Room Tip: don't be afraid to ask to be upgraded to double if you select a twin accidently.
No Negatives that I can report on, definitely get what you pay for here.
good value for money. Good location.
It was a wonderful stay and the food that we as a family enjoyed was the best I have had in quite a while as being a chef myself I can say that I am very harch but could not fault the chef it was fantastic thank you for the best stay ever and will recommend to friends and family
Staff were kind and very helpful!
The room was reasonably clean and the shower next door was clean and in good order!
The tv was not receiving a signal so no entertainment or morning news to watch! Noise late at night from neighbours in the next room. Someone shouting and banging at 3 in the morning . And Breakfast was late setting up because the duty manager was late arriving so I cancelled Breakfast! Shocking!!!
Convenient whilst party being held at hotel
Bar prices expensive for standard of hotel
Good parking Value for money
Breakfast dry and not complete
Avoid this place. Dirty, noisy and very rude staff.
Nothing what so ever
The rooms were absolutely discussting. There were no curtains up at window. Asked about it but nothing was done. Taken plenty of photos of the room. 8 pains of glass were cracked. Toilet seats were unsafe. Could not get back into the hotel after seeing my family, as the key code wouldnt work. And many other complaints , but we will be here all day. Where they got a 3 star rating on the wall I will never know.
Close to the town centre
breakfast was ok
lack of information at check in not told how to get in late at night left standing in rain, curtains in room falling down unable to close, television connection loose
the standard of cleanliness of the room was disgusting. dirty towels, sink had not been cleaned full of hair. looked like the bedding hadn't been changed.wouldn't recommend using this hotel to anyone.
excellent staff, made us feel very welcome. food good.
just felt the over all hotel could do with some refurbishment.
Filthy no staff no towels run down broken lights & rubbish in wardrobe. Not cleaned room before arrival . Stained sheets
This staff were very friendly breakfast was good
Hotel needs a refurb no shower in room location poor
It was dirty and smelly and needs decorating .the bedding was dirty and toilets and showers dirty and only 2 for all the floor ,also rooms wer dusty and curtains big holes and fell down ,too noisey from a wedding .i would never stay here again and the food was horrible they need a new chef .The kettle was filthy and cups too,and your expected to make a drink with them,to anybody thinking of staying here i would not reccomend it to amybody .
TV did not work in my room Mattress was collapsing All upstairs corridors smell smokey
There was no hot water. The bed was not made except for an urine -soiled sheet. They did change this. There was no breakfast and no one up to make it the next morning. It was unbelievable. Our advice is AVOID this hotel at all costs.
The staff were polite and helpful
Arrived for breakfast at 6.30 and it was shut (was told breakfast started at 6am). Shower too small.
Very good value for money. Spacious and clean room (not ensuite) serviced daily, a comfortable bed, electric heater and tv and coffee making facilities in the room. Immaculate (shared) toilet and shower facilities. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. A nice warm bar downstairs! I had gone to Stoke to attend a five-day company course and on arrival paid the full amount up-front. It became apparent early in the course that my company's management had 'messed up' and they were running the same course in my home town the very same week!! It was therefore decided that I should leave Stoke mid-week. The manager of the hotel had no hesitation at all in refunding the nights that I had to cancel. Given all this I am bemused that the Sneyd Arms was only rated at 'Passable' when I booked it. The next time I go to Stoke I will be staying at this hotel.
Rock concert volume kareoke going on until 1am.
