Lovely staff and good breakfast
Room Not as shownonline stains on every wall above and below dado rail. Wall paper coming from walls in places very disapointing
Location of the hotel was excellent although it lacked parking. The log fire in the bar area was lovely.
I booked a twin room but was then told this wasn't guaranteed. My friend's room was lovely with a big bed and sofa. The room I shared was tiny and nothing in comparison even though the price was the same. When I used the jacuzzi bath, lots of scale came out of the jets, not very appealing.Staff didn't seemed interested in their clients,no friendly welcome. We all felt a bit like we were putting them out even being there. Dinner menu was very retro, quite expensive and my friend was given carrots that were so al dente she had to hacksaw them in half!
Lovely open fire on a wintry afternoon. The food was excellent. Good wine and beer selection
Cream tea not up to scratch, coffee arrived at an inconvenient time.
Comfortable sofas, warm open fire and games in the lounge. A good wine selection and tasty, well priced food.
The evening meal main course (I had duck breast) was served in a bowl, so whenever I put my knife and fork down to continue the conversation, they fell into the bowl and the handles got covered in food. What's wrong with using a plate?
Not a great deal.
Room cold hot water in rooms appalling lack of staff when required no parking facility Noise at weekend from disco breakfast availability when needed was lacking.
The breakfast finishes way too early for younger couples. It is reasonable to expect breakfast will run until 10:30 or 11am in weekends.
Friendly staff. Wide variety at breakfast
The best hotel in this willage . Gorgeous interior of the rooms and restaurant . Amazing
Pleasant staff, good food. The room was tastefully decorated. The staff tried very hard to make stay comfortable.
The room for the price was very small and the bathroom tiny. Would have liked the choice of a continental as well as a full English breakfast.
Lovely bar, great room
We have stayed at The Snooty Fox many times. The general staff are very friendly and welcoming and dinner is a real treat. We always book a four poster room as they are very spacious. We had a wonderful weekend.
The a snooty Fox has recently had new Managers who do not appear to have particularly good hospitality skills. This is very unfortunate since the dining staff, bar staff and all the housekeeping staff are very pleasant.
Except car parking was off site. Could not be helped as cars were not invented when built. Ok to tie your horse though
The stay was top, we enjoyed the Hotel and the comfort was good. The Breakfast was top notch which plays a big part in my judgement of a Hotel/B&B. Top Stay and would deff go again.
I was a little miffed that the Breakfast was not included in my original booking, this probably reflectrs on the booking website more so than the Snooty Fox. I am unsure it was made entirley clear when booking as I would have opted for Breakfast to be included.
old and quirky barman/waiter very helpful
waiting for new carpets room needed a bit of updating poor hot water supply breakfast poor for the money
Checkin time... we arrived a little early, and we even mentioned that we would arrive early through booking.com, but, no option of early checkin was provided (not even 30 mins before). The lounge was occupied for some other function. So, we had to unnecessarily roam around in the rain. It spoiled our trip plan to some extent.
Amazing value for such a nice hotel. Bedroom had everything we needed, even a jacuzzi bath which was a bonus! Food in the restaurant was also top notch. Would definitely recommend!
Only minor grumble was terrible water pressure in the bathroom, which made showering a long job!
Staff were friendly and tried to provide a good service. Breakfast was excellent.
The place needs a designer overhaul. A few minor touches and professional improvements like playing background music at the right level in the restaurant.
The man at reception was not very welcoming and on the last morning breakfast was a bit disorganised because they had another group to entertain at the guests expense.
The food, the beers , yes I am a lady! All on the doorstep of the best ....little quirky shops, and just happy people who make you feel so welcome! See you very soon!
Staff very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast good quality, but I thought a little expensive.
The state of the carpets in the corridors. Room fairly small and only one chair. We were told new carpet was on order.
Staff friendliness. Breakfast, (excellent). Bar facilities.
Shower very slow to heat up, lot of flies in room and hall.
Food, location facilities, efficiency of staff.
It was not obvious to me that Wi Fi was available. This was not crucial to my trip but it would have been nice to know.
Food , cleanliness , staff
Great welcome, excellent 4 poster bed, excellent breakfast
Not much, a few things off menu, but the it was Sunday evening
