The food was excellent - taste and presentation. Ample tea and coffee in room. There was an occasional smell of cigarette smoke and a lingering smell of stale smoke. As an ex smoker (5 years) also asthmatic I am sensitive to this. The hotel was in need of some serious updating in places, especially our orangey/brown bathroom suite,(!) it seemed very 'tired' and lacked warmth. The restaurant food was excellent but there was always something which was listed on the menu which was unavailable and without fail at every meal time we had to ask for something which was ordered but they had forgotten to bring to the table. We were celebrating our 30th Anniversary so I emailed ahead of our arrival to order champagne in our room and pre book a table in the restaurant, it wasn't there and no reference was ever made regarding it.

Loved the location as it was central to the area we wanted to visit, the staff were great, very friendly and the food was excellent. The room was well appointed and comfortable, we liked the fact that the hotel was,nt too big, another reason why we chose The Snooty Fox. We know you guys need a night off but we did miss your meals on Sunday evening when you were closed!

Hi, Our room was fantastic, clean and very well furnished. Nice touches like the non-slip hangers and a golf umbrella were much appreciated.. The Columbian coffee was a great idea. I enjoyed every mouthful. Breakfast was generous and tasty. Evening meal too was great. Stuart should do a stand up routine. He was hysterical and full of useful information. Thanks for a great stay. We'll be back.

Room was small but adequate, clean & tidy. Nice view across open fields. Nice and relaxing as out of season. Walls a bit thin as neighbours in next room snored terribly.

The hotel owners were friendly and efficient. They were anxious to please. The food was very good and well presented. The room was very comfortable and tidied on a daily basis. All in all a good experience. The only thing we didn't like was the inability to book into the hotel between 3pm and 6 pm. After a long drive from Sussex it didn't get us off to a good start.

We stayed in the Den which was a suite of 3 rooms - lounge with sink and refrigerator with tea and coffee making facilities, bedroom with double and single and bathroom. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The service and meals were very good and reasonable with a excellent selection at both breakfast and evening. We arrived at 3.00pm and couldn't get into the hotel because the book in times didn't match the internet details. Fortunately the chef came into the carpark and was able to get us booked in. The bathroom fittings could have been better (clean but plastic and not very robust) We also had to provide soap and shampoo. We ate in the hotel every morning and several evenings. The only dissapointing meal was the sweet and sour prawns which were served in a pasata with pineapple and was not as expected.

Staff where very pleasant and helpful, the room was a good size very clean and well furnished. The bar/restaurant was very nice food was very good not codon bleu but well cooked and plenty of it , also a very good choice at breakfast. It is in a very good position just a few miles out side Looe, and very scenic views from the hotel. The only thing we didn't like was that the bar closed at 2pm till 6 even for guests.
