It was quirky. Did what it said on the tin! Comfy bed and good nights sleep.
Unique space. Very well thought out. A big room in a small space. Air con, wet room, flat screen tv, a double bed, a single bed, a wardrobe, a dining table. All in a 10x8 feet. Uber chic
Nothing! right place, right price, right time. A lot of everthing in a small space. If you wanna explore and crash and explore and crash its the best
Area was good and staff were brilliant. Room was clean.
Bathroom door didnt work for our first 2 days.
The staff were brilliant, very friendly and always had a smile on their faces. The rooms were very good and very comfortable and an excellent price for festival season. I would definitely recommend this place and would return to it happily every time I go to Edinburgh.
I liked everything.
It was one of its kind best thing was it was exactly as it was in the image, compact and nice, we stayed there for one night and it was very memorable in terms of the experience
the ventilation was a bit disappointing if have to stay for longer duration it may be a little disappointing(we were delighted with the setting n idea so it did not disappoint us initially ) n was little too compact felt missing space but excellent for a one night stay
Comfortable sleep Really good price
Neighborhood Really small Scarry and unusual experience that turned out OK
Comfy beds, clean and compact and nice staff.
The site was fairly muddy and uneven but would have been better with more lighting.
Small, compact room design. Like sleeping in a train compartment. Expensive for what it is.
Price and cleanliness and friendliness
The beds were very comfy! If all you really need is a safe place to sleep and not all the extras of a fancy hotel, it's great.
The location is really good, very close from the Old Town and also from the main bus lines.
It is too small, if you want to open your luggage two people can't stand at the same time, one of them has to climb on to the bed. But it's ok just for sleeping and you have your own shower, that is always better than sharing.
Location was good
Very expencsive for what it was
Comportable and convenient. Clean and close to centre. Not too noisy. Loved the parking.
No grass or trees as per brochure. Not a lot of air flow.
It was a bit of a novelty for a weekend. The beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful.
It was a bit small. Fine for a weekend but wouldn't want to stay there longer with two in the room. It was a bit noisy in the night when people walked along the corridor outside the room. Could have done with lights on the path from the car park. These were all small things though, I'd recommend the place for short stays.
I liked the concept of high density low cost accommodation. The "capsule" was quite well designed and the double bed comfortable.
The bunk bed was short and very uncomfortable. There had been an effort to brighten up the sight with large tubs of now dead trees and flowers. No paths or lighting outside to steer round the potholes. When booking the picture was of a different location in Edinburgh so assumed it was elsewhere
It said it had free wifi but it didnt work
great idea , portable hotel !
The beds actually were quite comfy. We enjoyed the free coffee/tea in the lobby. The hotel wasn't too far from the Royal Mile and was within walking distance of several bus stops.
As expected, the room was very cramped. Not much space for luggage, so we had to coordinate opening suitcases when people left the room. As other reviews mentioned, not much privacy in terms of the bathroom. You can hear EVERYTHING going on in the "wet room". The bathroom is called the "wet room" because the shower isn't separated from the rest of the bathroom, so that whole area can get wet.
Staff couldn't cope with front counter We were taken to our designated room. It was a dirty, uncleaned room. Young girl who took us to our room was clearly not up to it! lied to us and said it had been cleaned but made this up to avoid having to deal with situation. Bed sheets were dirty and soiled from previous occupants, room was filthy and uncleaned, carpet mat was filthy. we had to place a towel over it to avoid soiling our socks. Very poor systems and training of temp staff apparent.
Cleanliness of shower/toilet Toilet area stank of urine and lots of hair was left in the shower drain. YUK!
Good location and staff very friendly
I missed having a window to allow fresh air.
Clean and comfortable. Small, but that was expected given the price during the Edinburgh Festival.
Turned up at check-in time but had to wait for around 45 mins as room wasn't ready. Room was eventually switched to allow us in to one that was ready, but don't know why that couldn't have been done sooner.
easy parking close by comfy beds central location friendly and helpful staff quiet and peaceful
muddy ground with large puddles near accommodation units during wet weather, could be easily sorted by providing mats. Rooms had NO housekeeping not great if you stayed more than one night
Staff were very friendly
We were put in a room next to the generator and there was a loud buzzing noise all night. No sleep. Diabolical that you would have rooms next to the generator.
Stayed here during Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Cost was horrendous but there wasn't much available by the time we booked. The room is small but totally fine for one night :-) We knew what to expect - it's pretty small but for one couple for one night was comfy and easy to get around!
