It was a really lovely place to stay. We couldn't believe the choice of breakfasts - and they were delicious! We felt thoroughly spoilt and not to mention full (we certainly didn't need lunch). We stayed in the four poster room which was perfect for a romantic weekend away.

The room is lovely, and the house is exetremely close to the beach and town centre.Just 5 minutes walk. The host of the house is very kindly and hospitable. And the breakfast was awesome. Wish to come back in the future!! Just the Key of thedoor wasn't quite working.

Wonderful staff, comfy room and quality breakfast. Limited street parking, but since we were the only guests that night it was not a problem.

We had a very warm welcome from our hostess. The room was beautiful with modern clean lines but retaining its Victorian high ceiling charm. The bathroom was very spacious (larger than some rooms we've stayed in at other B&B's!). The breakfast was freshly cooked and set us up for the day. The only thing that slightly dampened the experience was the limited time for breakfast (08.30-09.00) and an early checkout time (10.00).

Stayed in the room with four-poster bed. Excellent room, well worth the extra money From the outside the hotel doesn’t look any different from all the others in the immediate vicinity but the owners were very good and the room was excellent

It was very relaxed and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. It was in a great location - very accessible to the local centre, pubs & restaurants. Also conveniently situated for people travelling without transport. The local bus terminal was within walking distance. It was one of the only hotels on the island that offered single accommodation. I would definitely go back.

Very welcoming and friendly. My room was the only one that hadn't been updated. The ensuite was very small and not really as you would hope to see these days. But they are going to be changing this in the future.

The four poster bed was very plain, and there was no dressing table to put make up on or dry your hair. Only a little mirror in wardrobe which didn't really help. The bathroom is big enough to to have put bath in. But otherwise everything was fine. Breakfast was good. Thank you.

We had room 6, a four poster bedroom. This room was extremely large with a sitting area too. The bed was comfortable, room was clean and well laid out with quality furniture. The newly built bathroom was excellent in every way, massive shower, twin sinks and plenty of room to dress/change. Extra little bath/shower toiletries, bottles of water replaced each day, quality towels, all added up to a pleasent stay. The tea/coffee machine worked well once you understood how to work it.. I can understand why the owners do it, but having to list your breakfast requirements the day before I felt a little out of the ordinary.Yes it meant that if you wanted, say a full English breakfast, then it would be ready as soon as you were and not have to wait for it to be cooked, sometimes however, people may wish to change their minds on their choice of breakfast and choose as they sit down in the dining room. A small thing, but I felt I ought to say.

We had a very nice experience. The staff were a bit cheeky with breakfast though - there was a fixed window for dining and that wasn't made clear to us. So, we missed out on breakfast.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay very much. We were made to feel very welcome straight away. The room itself was spotless and very comfortable. We did sneek a peek at the four poster room which is a fantastic room with lovely decoration and will probably ask for that room next time we visit. If you like your breakfast then you will be very happy indeed. The food was great every morning (you must try the home made marmalade). The location is great for walking to the old village of Shanklin and not too far to walk back to after a few drinks! All in all we had a lovely relaxing stress free stay and we look forward to going back again sometime soon.
