Excellent room service, food delicious Staff friendly and very helpful Lovely room, quiet and comfortable
The public areas were attractive, the meal was most enjoyable and the location was superb. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly.
If I stay there again, I would pay a little extra to have a good view from the window.
The hotel is set in a wonderful location and is everything you would imagine a "country house" hotel to be. The staff, from reception to those waiting tables at breakfast and dinner, were both polite and attentive but also affable. Our room, whilst not big, was comfortable with a modern en-suite and perfect for our stay..
None.Any minor issues we had were rectified immediately without fuss.
Attentive staff; supremely comfortable accommodation in quiet country location. Excellent food.
We arrived to a very friendly welcome from Jan, she then showed us to our room which was very large with four poster and beautiful views over the dales. Our two night stay was excellent, nothing was too much trouble when we enquired about anything and all of the staff we met were so friendly and efficient. The breakfast, again served by a lovely gentleman who made sure we had everything we wanted. We ordered meals to have in our room and these were delivered quickly and were of a lovely presentation. Bed comfortable and bathroom large and spotless, We hope to return later in year.
Only one small issue, with the hotel being an older building there was quite a draft coming through the windows in our bedroom, it didn't spoil our stay, but maybe secondry glazing or something similar would make the room even more comfortable.
It had a warm welcoming feel as you entered the reception area with a open fire burning brightly, the whole Hotel had a cosy slightly old fashion country house atmosphere which of course it was....just lovely...and the staff from the receptionist to the waiters in the restaurant and all we came into touch with were friendly polite and courteous...we will be back
My room (3), reception staff, beautiful room, spotless and every little detail provided and catered for. The breakfast was outstanding and beautifully served by well trained staff. Can't wait to go back.
Very good value for money.
Heating not very effective in February
Lovely old property, spacious rooms, comfortable bed and friendly staff
Room a little chilly even with radiator on full.
The staff were fantastic, the room comfortable and the bathroom spotless. The food was amazing, possibly some of the best I've had in a hotel
We loved the location and the building was lovely. Original features and a great log fire! Very helpful staff, couldn't do enough for you. If you are looking for relax then look no further.
TV was placed on the wall to the side of the bed So Couldn't see it from the bed.But didn't really matter as didn't spend much time there in the room
Location, friendliness of staff,
£17 for a bottle of wine
Staff attention to detail good. Room decor beautiful. Comfort excellent and food delicious...fantastically presented. This is the second time we have stayed and experience was as good as first. Love rellocation of dining room. New lounge very comfortable.
Room was rather cool initially....it was a very cold day. We did use room fan heater.
Friendly staff who were attentive great views
Everything from the warm welcome, the beautiful room and excellent food - only sorry we could not stay longer
Grand Georgian Hotel , great setting . Kept clean, warm with cozy winter fires . Food was very good and not too pricey , even for cheap skate like me. Staff friendly .
No sauna or steam room.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Really excellent food and a generally welcoming atmosphere.
Few problems with plumbing but it was fixed as soon as I mentioned it.
Lovely place to stay but not easy to find in the dark!!!
Directions where poor
lovely place staff very friendly .great peaceful location.room was excellent with nice view and a four ostr will large bathroom will visit again.Marvelous hotel.Shame we only stayed one night
Good service all round
Lack of power from the shower
I booked this for my parents and was really pleased that specific requests I made such as a quiet room and a bath not shower where adhered to.
Location Food Staff friendliness
Room was in tables which was practical but in December hard to get warm
Great value. Stayed room 1 with four poster. Free bathrooms n slippers great. Breakfast in room no extra ciost. Well worth paying dinner bed breakfast.
Large comfy rooms, with good facilities. Fast response to a request for Iron.
There was no one around to receive breakfast order, and had to wait a while. Limited pastries available. Scrambled eggs were nice and creamy, but tasteless. Menu stated a large flat mushroom grilled, and I got small quartered mushrooms that had been sauted.
I liked every thing about the hotel
