The windows are old could hear the wind all night
the staff were nice, they were very helpful
the rooms were poor quality, there was no fridge, and the rom smelled dusty
Location near lots of restaurants
Decor a bit sixties.
Lovely big, clean room :)
Renovations spoiled it with no discount on room price for inconvenience. No proper entrance, no dining room, no proper bar and with a room specifically with “view of lake“ all we could see was scaffolding and ladders :(
Location and comfort (lovely and warm) Very helpful staff.
No bad experience but can't understand why there is a charge for wi fi. You only have to walk to the shops/cafes and it's free.
lighting in the room, in fact everywhere seemed gloomy. poor shower performance and the fact it was over a bath, not a dedicated shower cubicle.
Preparation of staff to deal with complaints.
Poor facilities available during refurbishment. Low level of room and bathroom decor etc. Definitely not a £130 (exc breakfast ) per night hotel at present.
Comfortable bed, great breakfast
Rooms were cold, with noisy ineffective AC, stained carpets, worn out paint, poor water pressure in the bathroom, no doors on the wardrobes. My bed was made from two singles with a double mattress on top, all old and stained. Could have done with a major re vamp 15 years ago. Breakfast was over cooked and dried out. Parking was £5 a day! Overpriced for such a poor experience
The location was perfect for us, very close to where our son lives. Excellent breakfast, Friendly helpful staff.
Their was nothing we disliked about the hotel.
Loved the fact we could just walk back across the road from our Christmas party!
We were happy with everything apart from paying for the car park and wifi
On booking, in the comments section I told them it was my birthday. When I got to the room there was a hand written card and a bottle of wine. Thank you very much.
Large room, very clean Lovely lounge area and small bar Very helpful and friendly staff A really lovely hotel, well placed for visiting Solihull and Birmingham
Price of drinks at the bar - £7.50 for a glass of wine
So welcoming and helpful regarding our dog
Location and previous stay have been excellent
Dirty rooms poor wifi cold breakfast foods one chair in double room considering this has had an overhaul its worse not better. All comments above reported at the time, apologetic, could speak to manager but that was it. Have to come back soon to see family again, this last visit does not encourage me to book here again. Woul like to know your comments
2nd floor room overlooking pond was pretty quiet which was good - only gurgling and ting-tinging of radiator to be heard during the night. Room layout was spacious and sensible. Nice carpets. Definitely better than the Premier- or Lodge-type places.
Check out time could be later as 11 a.m. is a bit early if you want to have a leisurely breakfast (7 to 9.30 a.m. only over xmas period) and a swim perhaps. Check in time of 3 p.m. is similarly a bit late in the day. Did not avail myself of WiFi at £15 per 24 hours.
Location and room comfort
Paying for breakfast considering the cost of the room
The location is very good and the staff is very helpful and professional. No complaints
Every thing specially the location
Good central hotel. We had business at the Willows Vet Hospital and this was well situated. Also for the really good shopping cerntre.
Reception efficient but not welcoming or friendly. Cold do better.
Bathroom small and could do with a revamp.
staff were so helpful the booking with Chloe who sorted the room she knew we likes which was the best for our little dog. The Housekeeper Teresa was so good to us and so concerned about our pet who was attending the vet, Every thing was marvelous thank you all. Not our first and wont be our last visit !!
Large, comfortable room Spacious longe/bar area
The restaurant was closed for the evening for a Christmas party..would have appreciated prior warning of this.
Great location, excellent shops and good service from hotel staff
The duvets need to be a bit bigger on the single beds
BreKfast and Xmas tree at the entrance
Poor room quality, tired furniture, no minibar, meal time frame too limited
