Clean Wide shower Good breakfast Availability to pack a really nice breakfast if need to leave early
Too hot temperature in the room
Excellent accommodation - certainly would stay again. Golf Course was also ideal for the group of golfers who played.
Breakfast was fantastic. Decor was excellent. Views from clubhouse. My advice, arrive in the daytime and eat before you get there.
No evening food available. Confusing door entry systems. Trying to stare at a poorly lit key pad, torch in one hand, piece of paper with the code on in the other. Whilst being blinded by a movement sensitive light that went off far too soon, plunging you into darkness. Squashed bluebottle on window blind. Previous residents toothpaste residue on bathroom shelf.
Breakfast hot and plentiful. Convenient location within walking distance of university campus (2 miles). Lovely views of the golf course from our room. Very hot water. Friendly staff. Comfortable.
No sign at lodge to advise to check in at the clubhouse lounge. Restaurant closes for meals at 18.00 after 1 October. Fairly noisy when the golfers arrive.
Designed and essentially ideal for golfing addicts. Very nice clubhouse with pleasant staff and good food cooked for you in nice surroundings. Pleasantly served. The members we met where very welcoming.
Top floor rooms have no view other than the sky! Not the end of the world as there are enough lovely views all around.
Modern fixtures, fittings and furnishings, all of high quality. Unusually good electric lighting in bedroom and bathroom. Everything clean and in good condition. Adjustable vertical 'venetian' blinds.
Blinds let in too much light - curtains needed. Razor socket would be useful.
Location Views Standard and cleanliness Breakfast
People were very welcoming Sheep, horses and cows share the course with the golfers Picturesque spot
The location, the quality and cleanliness if the rooms, and the helpfulness of the staff. I plan to stay again
Very friendly and welcoming. Good range of choice for breakfast. Room spotless. Excellent value for money. Looking forward to going back.
Really struggling to find something
We ended up here having been let down by Booking.com and another, more rural, venue who told us we had no room (due to double booking) at the very last minute. It wasn't what we'd signed up for as it's right on the edge of town and not a historical 'character' venue like our first choice, but it wasn't bad. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. The room was compact but had everything we needed while the bathroom was huge and there was always hot water. Good cooked breakfast (but no Welsh pancakes as advertised). The location is pleasant and very convenient for Swansea, Mumbles and all of the Gower.
It's a golf club, not a hotel, so there are no fancy facilities. Evening meals are basic pub grub. Rooms looking out over the car park/golf course are a bit noisy with a fan or generator going on and off outside all night - not a problem if you have earplugs but possibly enough to keep you awake otherwise. Wifi is not free but provided by 'The Cloud' for which you need an account - even accessed through my Sky account it was flaky and slow and one of our phones couldn't access it at all.
Friendly staff and very clean accommodation.
I was expecting 4* bed and breakfast and it was not up to this standard. Continental breakfast very basic, no fresh croissants, grapefruit, etc Trouble with the heating and tv. We had to go outside to access the restaurant, not great in the rain.
We liked the welcome and the friendliness of staff and members on duty. Room 1, obviously recently refurbished like the rest of the lodge,, was well appointed and spotless though not large. Great view out over the golf course. Large modern bathroom with shower over bath. The restaurant/bar on the upper floor of the clubhouse was very pleasant, also with great view out to the west over the golf course. Evening meal was good with a varied menu. Breakfasts were all you could ever want..!
Convenient to the Gower in a lovely location by the golf course. Friendly Staff, nice rooms with an excellent breakfast. Good value for money.
open and airy position of Lodge, friendliness of all we met and a jolly good breakfast
Excellent breakfast and setting.
Clean modern rooms with good beds and comfortable pillows. Very adequate for overnight stop.
Could be a bit noisey at front of property when golf club closes and members leave.
Beautiful setting with stunning views
Very noisy clubhouse car park until around 1am. Noisy very early in the morning (around 5am).Difficult to get a good nights sleep.
excellent location and very friendly people wonderful breakfast would highly recommend this to anybody. sadly had to cut short our trip but will definitely return thank you.
Location was fine for us because we were going to a wedding nearby. Spotlessly clean and well decorated.
Minimally sized room and extremely large hard pillows - bolsters, really. Small choice at breakfast: no fruit in any form except juice; no croissants - absolutely basic.
Modern lay renovated and very clean
Difficulty to find
The room was clean.
This anonymous single building in the middle of a golf club has no visible staff till you root around the golf grounds for a very unwelcoming bar maid. The room was nondescript. The lights over the bathroom sink didn't work. The wifi didn't work. It took 25 mins for the worst plate of scrambled eggs (could they have been canned?) to be served. And I was the only one in the dining room. (Maybe the other guests knew better that to go for breakfast.) One of the worst B & B's I have ever stayed in.
We were two mature couples on our way from Bristol to The Welsh Botanic Gardens. Very Helpful Staff. Good value, wholesome food. Nice view of people, horses, sheep and birds from the lounge/dining room. Rooms a bit small but very well tended. We also liked your plans for a lift installation,
1. The unavailability of the "Welsh Breakfast." 2. Lack of directional signage from the main road. 3. Men, singing enthusiastically outside, very early in the morning..... but then this perhaps, is a crass criticism concerning "The Land of Song."
Décor was new and well designed. All facilities required for a comfortable stay were present.
Poor ventilation in warm weather created a hot-house atmosphere making it extremely difficult to sleep. The bedding was heavy with no alternatives provided. Cold tap ran warm for up to a minute before cooling.
The staff are very friendly and the whole experience was very enjoyable. Room 1 has a view of the golf course and a lovely deep bath! Will definitely visit again. Although my stay was brief this time I will be sure to come back and stay longer in the near future. Thank you to everyone, staff and members alike, who made my stay such a pleasant one.
Everything was to a very high standard; I had no complaints.
