Friendly staff and very clean accommodation.
I was expecting 4* bed and breakfast and it was not up to this standard. Continental breakfast very basic, no fresh croissants, grapefruit, etc Trouble with the heating and tv. We had to go outside to access the restaurant, not great in the rain.
We liked the welcome and the friendliness of staff and members on duty. Room 1, obviously recently refurbished like the rest of the lodge,, was well appointed and spotless though not large. Great view out over the golf course. Large modern bathroom with shower over bath. The restaurant/bar on the upper floor of the clubhouse was very pleasant, also with great view out to the west over the golf course. Evening meal was good with a varied menu. Breakfasts were all you could ever want..!
Convenient to the Gower in a lovely location by the golf course. Friendly Staff, nice rooms with an excellent breakfast. Good value for money.
open and airy position of Lodge, friendliness of all we met and a jolly good breakfast
Excellent breakfast and setting.
Clean modern rooms with good beds and comfortable pillows. Very adequate for overnight stop.
Could be a bit noisey at front of property when golf club closes and members leave.
Beautiful setting with stunning views
Very noisy clubhouse car park until around 1am. Noisy very early in the morning (around 5am).Difficult to get a good nights sleep.
excellent location and very friendly people wonderful breakfast would highly recommend this to anybody. sadly had to cut short our trip but will definitely return thank you.
Location was fine for us because we were going to a wedding nearby. Spotlessly clean and well decorated.
Minimally sized room and extremely large hard pillows - bolsters, really. Small choice at breakfast: no fruit in any form except juice; no croissants - absolutely basic.
Modern lay renovated and very clean
Difficulty to find
The room was clean.
This anonymous single building in the middle of a golf club has no visible staff till you root around the golf grounds for a very unwelcoming bar maid. The room was nondescript. The lights over the bathroom sink didn't work. The wifi didn't work. It took 25 mins for the worst plate of scrambled eggs (could they have been canned?) to be served. And I was the only one in the dining room. (Maybe the other guests knew better that to go for breakfast.) One of the worst B & B's I have ever stayed in.
We were two mature couples on our way from Bristol to The Welsh Botanic Gardens. Very Helpful Staff. Good value, wholesome food. Nice view of people, horses, sheep and birds from the lounge/dining room. Rooms a bit small but very well tended. We also liked your plans for a lift installation,
1. The unavailability of the "Welsh Breakfast." 2. Lack of directional signage from the main road. 3. Men, singing enthusiastically outside, very early in the morning..... but then this perhaps, is a crass criticism concerning "The Land of Song."
Décor was new and well designed. All facilities required for a comfortable stay were present.
Poor ventilation in warm weather created a hot-house atmosphere making it extremely difficult to sleep. The bedding was heavy with no alternatives provided. Cold tap ran warm for up to a minute before cooling.
The staff are very friendly and the whole experience was very enjoyable. Room 1 has a view of the golf course and a lovely deep bath! Will definitely visit again. Although my stay was brief this time I will be sure to come back and stay longer in the near future. Thank you to everyone, staff and members alike, who made my stay such a pleasant one.
Everything was to a very high standard; I had no complaints.
unfriendly members , Golf : misbehaviour of members scruffy course, slow greens
Views over the golf course.
There was no restaurant facilities after 5.30. We were told by a young lad there was only cobs. The information sheet we were sent and the information book in the room stated last orders for food would be 7pm. We realised it was a Bank Holiday, but someone should have pointed it out when we arrived. We had to get a taxi into the mumbles to get an evening meal. Disappointed!
Scenic Food excellent
Not totally professional Small room No bath Breakfast a little slow to be served
Very friendly staff, clean and light room, great breakfast
No loo rolls originally provided in room but staff more than happy to help and sort it out for us.
Friendly and approachable staff. Lovely food with a great view from the dining area.
From the moment we arrived we felt welcome, a cup of coffee and a chat before being shown to our room. The room was immaculate, with twin beds and a large walk in shower in the en suite. The breakfast was delicious, with croissants, toast and full cooked breakfast and while sitting at the table we had a delightful view over the golf course.
Having to leave!
friendly staff, very laid back and accommodating. excellent food, very enjoyable stay
everything was clean and fresh and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Modern, newly furbished room with a great view.
Unfortunately the blinds at the window let a bit too much light into the room. The security door into the building has a rather noisy message when being used which can be heard from the room that we had on the first floor.
The rooms lovely . The breakfast lovely . The staff very helpfully . Lovely quiet .
The room needed a mirror near a plug (so a person could see what they were doing whilst using a hairdryer).
