very good en-suite room
awfull location, very near the motorway, must be bad in summer because you can't open windows
good quality accomodation
heating was a problem (but was sorted out ) main gate needs more info.
Owners were extremely polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Lots of parking areas.
Room was warm and comfortable. Cctv secure parking. Breakfast was great and the hosts made me feel at home. I will definitely book again next time I'm in the area.
Interesting buildings, friendly fellas.
Slight mixup with the room booking but they recovered well. And just a tad close to the main road, noisy.
The accomodation and staff were excellent. Very friendly and happy to accomodate any requirments. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Very friendly hosts, and very comfortable rooms Good location with easy access to surrounding areas And a free sausage for our dog
Warm, personal welcome. Excellent hosts. Comfy and spacious rooms. Great location. Very dog friendly. Own garden space and lounge in stable block. Great breakfast.
Some wouldn't like busy road, but it was a melodic thrum!
Hosts were extremely flexible and even provided a superb breakfast, at no additional cost, for my eldest daughter who visited us in the morning. The room and surroundings are extremely tastefully decorated and we both slept like logs. This will definitely be our preferred option in the future for our visits up North! I spend roughly 120 nights a year in hotels around the world on business and trust me there is nothing to complain about regarding Somerset Farm.
Absolutely no complaints.
Lovely setting, very comfortable accommodation and a relaxed atmosphere. We were travelling with my son and wife who were over from Florida and had been travelling around Europe. My daughter -in-law said that it was by far the best place they had stayed. Breakfast was more than adequate.
The only drawback was a little noise from the main road which is quite close to the property.
Personnal touch Friendly host Very comfy beds Excellent facilities
Liked everything, food atmosphere ,Hosts. Room. & area
The beautiful farm house, barn and countryside The easy access to other locations up and down the coast The wonderful service and being made to feel welcome The beautiful rooms The lovely farm animals and pets
Comfortable room Very friendly welcome Excellent breakfast Excellent location
Breakfast was really good. Quiet and peaceful location. Hosts very friendly with useful travel tips for our onward journey. Beds comfortable and everything spotlessly clean.
Unusual premises with an interesting selection of woven old farm implements. And humorous articles - a flower box planted with light bulbs!
Quite noisy due to the A19 being yards from the front bedrooms.
Owners were so pleasant and helpful - made you really feel at home - nothing seemed too much trouble for them to help you enjoy your stay.
Nothing really - perhaps the garden area could be improved but we understand this is in progress.
Nice location Lovely rooms
very nice friendley place too stay staff with veary nice liked the place very clean whud stay again thnxs.....
the bar not open bit dissapointed about that but still had good stay
Primarily the welcome we received as wonderful and this continued whilst we were there. The room we were give was very spacious with the 2 singles we requested. The large bathroom had been recently renovated and had everything one could ask for. Breakfast the next day was brilliant, food to suit everyone from a very comprehensive "Full english" beautiful toast and jams, lashings of tea and freshly made coffee but primarily a relaxed and attentive Andy and Ashleigh who were wonderful hosts..
No hanging space in the bedroom which did have enough space to accomodate a wardrobe. Also because the room overlooked the A19, triple glazing could have been installed to reduce the noise. I suspect because it was a very old farmhouse, there was no insulation in the loft space which would have kept the temperature cooler in summer and warmer in winter. We would have opened the windows more to make the room cooler but the noise would have spoilt it.
Clean and comfortable, very convenient for coast to coast walkers such as us, good facilities and excellent wifi.
Noise from the motor way and creaky bed. We did tell the landlord about the bed and he said he would do something about it. All landlords should spend one night in each of the rooms they let out to make sure that there are no annoying things like creaky beds!
Loved the style of this place, really traditional English. Good breakfast. Nice owners. Lovely place to get away from every day life. Barn conversion was great! Great views of the country side.
It was a shame the bar wasn't open when we were there due to a re furb, would of liked to of had a few beverages on the night! But never mind.
Fantastic room! Brilliant for Coast to Coast. Really friendly owners.
