Location, beds were comfortable
no free wifi, no mirror in the room
Staff were at hand and helpful when needed. Room was basic but nice hot shower. Good location for the tube not far from madam tussauds. Reasonable price for the amount of people. Clean sheets
No air conditioning and only one opening window. Close to a fairly busy road and was hot with a large family staying in room in August, traffic passing by all night. No tea and coffee facilities in the room but access to them in the basement wherebreakfast was served. Not much choice for continental breakfast, toast or basic cereal and a bowl of tinned fruit but enough until you can get food in London. Beds really uncomfortable.
No hot water carpet in room not fitted,so you could catch your foot on sharp pins around outside
Spacious, clean, great location, great breakfast room and food, service great
Rooms got quite stuffy despite size and couldn't open the windows to allow fresh air in, no free wifi, no bar fridge.
As we walked into the Somerset hotel we were warmly welcomed by a member of staff, all questions and needs were met and everything was great! Until we got into the room.
1st room: very small, very dark, en suite was not to a good standard and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months!! So we asked for a different room, which we got! Room 2: room was bigger, bathroom was actually decorated, although the bathroom door didn't gave a handle and had punch and kick dents in the door and there was a plug that hadn't been fitted. We paid £90 for this hotel. We didn't even get a cooked breakfast!! It was 2 choices of cereal or a slice of toast. Which we had to get ourselves. As we spoke to people we met on boat trips and members of the public we met, a lady had said she had to leave early due to bed bugs. The staff are very convincing and it seems very professional but im surprised the place hasn't been looked into for a health hazard.
clean and simple room. left without any complaints
Lack of tea making facilities. Lack of phone Lack of Lift as we had to walk up four flights of stairs Not very clean Two cracked windows and curtain hanging off
no problems at all. pleasant stay and was even allowed to check out late without charge
Location Size of room Staff
Very poor choice for breakfast, cereal or white toast
Liked the fact that you were in a great location for all to see and do in London. The staff were fantastic and nothing too much trouble.
location is fantastic, hotel staff friendly, room had a nice view of the square
noise from the street, but it is a city hotel so to be expected
It was close to Marylebone Station, Baker Street and several major attractions
We were given a 4th floor room but there was no lift. The room had a double bed but this was against one wall. There were no room facilities for phone or coffee/teamaking. There were drinks facilities in the basement by 4 floors down stairs and back again for a hot drink??? The hotel was scruffy and looked poorly maintained. We could not recommend this hotel.
A BIT DATED INSIDE BUT THAT DID NOT BOTHER US
returning guest to hotel. fantastic service from the hotel as always. very welcoming to my family
nothing to complain about
enjoyed a comfortable stay at the hotel with my family. staff helpful, rooms spacious and clean
Location is good to local shops and attractions and tube. Breakfast okay, simple help yourself. Coffee machine to help yourself. Staff courteous and helpful.
My room was nothing like the photo they posted online. We had 4 single beds not 2 doubles as pictured in the photograph. There was no shower gel or shampoo just a bar of soap. No hangers or hooks to hang towels in the bathroom. Shower curtain dirty looking and shower flooded bathroom. Brown staining on toilet room needed some TLC. No mats in the bathroom. Window permanetly open with board on the outside. Mattress poor.
Location and price; staff very welcoming, helpful and informative
the friendly welcome from the staff who helped take our bags to our room. beds were confortable and bathroom was a good size (with bath tub). The hotel decor was good although could do with some minor touch ups
no free wifi
Just one thing I like in this hotel: excellent location
In the bathroom: no hooks for towel, no shampoo, just 1 piece of soap, fungused bath curtain. In the room: for 4-night stay room was cleaned just once after I asked about. And they just made the beds but didn't change the linen. No phone in the room but it was advertised.
good location very, very close to Marlybone Station and within easy walking distance to Baker Street Station.
No Air con we were on the top floor and it was very hot. The hotel room was not clean and the carpet needed replacing. Needed more toasters
Great location and friendly helpful staff. basic but free breakfast (cereal, juice, tea.coffee and toast with jams) offered 5% for paying in cash
As pictured on website, good sized room on the back so reduced noise in city. Good clean tiled bathroom and breakfast included
came over for a weekend break and enjoyed our stay. Room of 5 was very big, clean and comfortable.
room was as shown in pictures, was tidy and in a great location, luggage locked away after check out
no tea making facilities in room, breakfast was poor had to make own toast, small bugs found in room several times, water system quite noisey
Spacious room. Location.
For the money we´ve paid are the breakfast usually much more wider in selection. Old window w/o any handlock. Not finished room reconstruction (bathroom). Stink in the corridor. No phone in the room. No wi-fi free of charge. No room facility (kettle, tea, coffee,...nothing at all).
