The room was very shabby and the pillows were uncomfortable,the shower tray was chipped and the light pull ws just a bit of string although it was clean

The rooms I booked for me and sister were clean, well presented and quiet - just what we wanted for a night away. They were single rooms, but had very comfy queen sized beds. The ensuite bathrooms were little, but exactly what was needed. It was great having a tv too. Our arrival was met with a very friendly woman who showed us everything we needed to know, and we felt happy that we could come and go as we pleased. The breakfast the next morning was generally great. Very well cooked. I asked for a poached egg and it was beautifully cooked. All in all very good value, and I would definitely come here again. The price was great and for such a well kept establishment I would definitely recommend to others. Free car parking was another plus.

Only a couple of things, really. My room's bathroom had a shower that had virtually no temperature control. (Room 14). It was boiling hot for ages and then turned to cold and it was very difficult to control. I had a very quick shower! The cooked breakfast was generally great apart from the sausage. It tasted very cheap and I was a bit worried about what was in it. Next time I would ask for a vegetarian sausage to go with the meaty cooked breakfast. Other than that, it was all great. Thankyou for a great stay.

I liked the hosts ,very friendly and on hand at all times. the single rooms were spacious and comfortable.We were made to feel welcome and the rooms were serviced every day which was a bonus for a budget three night break

The mess at the rear of the property, it was a dumping ground and our rooms overlooked it. The sausages for breakfast very cheap and nasty

The welcome from the owners and the way nothing was to much for them, they were brilliant. Nice and quiet and very relaxing, you wouldn't know the hotel was on a main road. Red squirrels can be seen in the trees at the rear of the building.

Breakfast was very good. Bed was OK but a little smaller than was comfortable for the more substantial guest. Other facilities were more than adequate and parking was always available on site. There were good dining options within a few minutes travel.

Only having a shower and not a bath en suite.

Nice location with bus stop outside the door for Route 2 buses direct to Newport, Sandown & Ryde. Quiet location. Comfortable with adequate heating.

Light in bed room was so bad it was not possible to read in bed.

The owners went out of their way to make our family comfortable. They were incredibly friendly and made us feel very at home. They did everything they could to help us have a lovely stay. Fantastic value for money!

Ideal location for town centre pubs, restaurants, etc. Comfortable beds, warm room, quiet location in side street with no traffic noise. Full English breakfast included in the reasonable price, hard to beat that anywhere else.

Wardrobe position left very little room to move around the 2 beds in the room, which was quite small for a twin.

Excellent value for money,clean and the room I stayed in was very good, highly recommend.wish I could stayed longer

I love this hotel because it is a wonderful historic building with most of it's original architectural features still intact. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and well decorated. I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and would return again in future.

I was not keen on the spot lights on the celing in my room. They are no in keeping and detract from the character and appearance of this listed building. In addition my alarm clock did not work.

The hotel was friendly and cosy. Rooms were clean and the breakfast was great.
