Great attention to detail to provide every comfort for the visitor. Friendly helpful owners who provided excellent service and a delicious breakfast.
V pleased by friendly greetings from Inoka & Chris & email detailing local restaurants, facilities etc. Guest house well situated & despite room being at the front we were not disturbed by road noise and view of hills is lovely, bedroom and bathroom v clean, excellent toiletries and selection of teas etc. Breakfast to order, fresh and delicious!
Can't think of anything. It is a small guesthouse and anyone expecting more than what is provided should get realistic and book a big hotel and pay a lot more, and then not get such friendly, helpful hosts!
Very warm welcome, stunning room at the top of the house - small but with beautiful fittings and bathroom. Lots of extra touches - great hospitality tray, toiletries, wifi, flowers. Nothing too much trouble. Fantastic breakfast. Also free use of local soa facilities although we didn't know this until we arrived. Will definitely make use of these next time. Permit given so we could park outside. Easy walking distance to town centre. All in all it was like staying in a mini boutique hotel. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely nights stay at The Sonata Guest House. The room was lovely and the owners were incredibly helpful, friendly and courteous. We wouldn't hesitate to return.
1) Their Behavior was best. 2) Wi-Fi- Speed is extreme fast 3) Room Condition and cleanliness 4) Breakfast as you wish.
After a long day of driving, we were met by the most helpful hosts one could possibly desire. The Sonata Guest House was a welcome interlude with wonderful rooms and a delicious breakfast. The hosts, a young couple, were very quick to give us good suggestions and directions to places for dinner and seemed to genuinely care about our vacation in Britain. A nice place to stay in Kendal, which is the gateway to the Lake District. Glad we booked it.
Enjoyed a very pleasant stay. Inoka and Chris couldn't have been more helpful. Nice touches to the room - flowers, best selection of teas/coffee/milks, etc that we've come across, goodies in the bathroom second to none. No hesitation in staying here in the future.
Great veggie breakfast, lovely coffee and people.
Quality and finer touches
Some noise from street
Loved everything from the warm welcome to help with departure. This young couple have got everything just right with the running of this B&B. In conversation the proprietor said she had a lot of experience working in large hotels & this shows. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Particularly helpful and friendly hosts.
Our late booking and arrival (9.30pm) was handled with gracious, welcoming smiles. The pillows were the fluffiest I've felt in a long while. The luxurious full-length bathtub with aromatic bath salts was a standout feature and followed delightfully after the ample, delicious breakfast served (again) with gracious smiles. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Inoka and Chris are very welcoming, and perfect hosts. Our room was lovely and had every amenity. The breakfast was delicious. Inokao went the extra mile, and provided a breakfast box, as we left early morning, thanks
the hosts were lovely, welcoming, very helpful.
the noise from the neighbouring room's bathroom fan which woke me up far too early.
We stayed there in 2012 under different management & thought it good then. Since Chris & Inoka took over, the rooms feel a whole lot brighter. The service is five star & nothing is to much trouble. While there get yourselves over to the Oddfellows Arms for a friendly beer, great break!
Room and bed too small.
Full English breakfast with coeliac toast & real Lakeland butter. Spotlessly clean rooms & wonderfully friendly people. Excellent stay. No hesitation in recommending to anyone.
The light above the bed got in the way if you were sitting up.
Lovely toiletries, very pleasant and helpful hosts, clean and tidy, good location.
Room rather small.
The hosts were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic Breakfast was to die for! Attention to detail was great and made the stay really special Very clean Very classy
The spare single bed made the room a little cluttered. I would aim to have a spare bed they could put In there only when needed.
we lilked this guest house very much.Inoka and Chris can't do enough for you rooms lovely they have thought of everything. Breakfast really lovely.
Location close to town centre. Great host and hostess, very attentive and eager to please Quiet and super- clean.
Fantastic owners, would do anything for you.
Very personal approach by owners, attention to detail and excellent value.
Welcome was warm and friendly. Lovely touches like a rosein our room and plenty of nice toiletries. Scrambled eggs very nice.
We had a front room which was on a busy road so it ewas a bit noisy early evening and morning
Amazing attention to detail. Very flexible and even prepared to cook a super early breakfast. Very friendly. Safe storage for bicycles.
