we lilked this guest house very much.Inoka and Chris can't do enough for you rooms lovely they have thought of everything. Breakfast really lovely.
Location close to town centre. Great host and hostess, very attentive and eager to please Quiet and super- clean.
Fantastic owners, would do anything for you.
Very personal approach by owners, attention to detail and excellent value.
Welcome was warm and friendly. Lovely touches like a rosein our room and plenty of nice toiletries. Scrambled eggs very nice.
We had a front room which was on a busy road so it ewas a bit noisy early evening and morning
Amazing attention to detail. Very flexible and even prepared to cook a super early breakfast. Very friendly. Safe storage for bicycles.
Warm welcome and very friendly. Location for the lovely town. Clean and tidy. Excellent breakfast. Comfy bed. A real effort to make us feel at home.
Parking. On street and restricted to time. We did not try other options as we parked our motorbike in an area opposite the local police station. (area was in the road behind the guest house). So others may find a better solution.
Very welcoming hosts who helped out with directions, booking taxis, recommending restaurants and general info on the area. And a great breakfast at 6am as I had to catch a train. Will definitely stay again.
Very nice place with very friendly hosts. Both were very helpful and gave us good advise about what to see in the neighbourhood. Clean and spacious rooms and a wide range of options for breakfast.
Immaculately clean Warm welcome room upgrade because we arrived early delicious and beautifully served food, lots of choice modern comfortable room fantastic attention to detail friendliness of hosts great eateries in town central location
Wonderful hosts. Relatively spacious, well furnished rooms. An array of toiletries that would shame a 4-star hotel. Excellent breakfasts.
My room overlooked the road and could be a bit noisy with the window open, although my traveling companions had a wonderful room at the back with a great view and only birds in the morning as the source of noise. As with most B&Bs there was no air conditioning and the rooms were uncomfortably warm on a June night, especially my friends' room even though they were provided with a large fan.
Such a beautiful place. Could not ask for anything. Top class. Food was excellent. People so extremely friendly and helpful . Stayed in many b& b's while over from Australia and this one was our favourite for all round hospitality. Thank you so much:)
Great hospitality, excellent breakfast, clean room, good wi-fi connection.
It was the day for collecting bins, so felt a little noise in the morning, since we left the window open.
The staff were so friendly, they couldn't do enough to help us. The room was excellent, the food was varied and plentiful. We couldn't have asked for more.
The owners were very welcoming and really friendly. Room was extremely clean and bright. Bathroom was very modern with power shower over bath. Everything was in there from toothcare to shaving. Breakfast was superb with cereal, fresh fruit, toast jams etc. choice of cooked breakfast. Everything cooked fresh. Would certainly recommend it for anyone wishing to stay in this area.
The hosts are very nice and caring. The breakfast was smashing! The town center is in walking distance. We would defenitly come again!
The staff are very friendly. There's a huge breakfast, and the rooms are lovely although quite small.
Kindness and helpfulness at all times
The guest house is run by a charming couple of Sri Lankan origin who take a great interest in their guest's welfare. We went for a walk and dined in central Kendal and when we returned (around 10pm) the couple met us at the door and wanted to know how the evening went. Very quaint these days. The room was comfortable, the guest house centrally located and the breakfast excellent.
Nothing to speak of.
Great place to stay very good care in all aspects
Staff extremely helpful and accommodating (helped with future train travel/held bags after checkout/offered tea on arrival). Convenient to everything, including river walk, but in a quiet setting.
friendly staff, given good advice on how to find the bus station and places to visit. The food was lovely. In my room, there were all the things I expected, tea facilities and in the bathroom too. having slippers and a dressing gown I felt very happy.
I arrived to the Sonata Guest House from the train station and walked, but the problem I had was crossing the roads, with continues fast traffic on the same road of the Guest House. The Sonata Guest House I felt is in the wrong location. It's too good to be in that place.
It was spotless, beautiful room, everything you need to make a very comfortable stay. The hosts were first rate, very welcoming and delightful people. Breakfast was first rate. I would highly recommend this lovely place.
very welcoming gave us information about getting about in Kendal.
Immensdely impressed by the warmth of the welcome...went out of their way to enable me to end up paying less than what I had been anticipating. All in all a most enjoyable experience.
Nothing at all, although we would all like to pay less.
