Family run hotel with exceptional desire to please. Very helpful indeed. Will stay there again whenever in Cambridge.
Room 125 was in a quite part of the hotel and had all the comforts we needed.
Would have liked some decafe coffee in the room.
Excellemt location for central Cambridge. Good access to buses for easy travel locally. Comfortable room . Pleasant staff.
Staff friendly enough, food good although the English breakfast was tiny! Within reasonable walking distance of the city - if you're fit and don't mind a 25 min walk! My friends seemed happy with their rooms.
My bed was uncomfortable and I must have been near the boiler as there was the sound of running water behind my head all night. Also, when I took a shower, the maid had left soap from the previous guest balanced on the tap and there was a hair on the soap - it wasn't from someone's head! Wifi was patchy.
Bedside lights dangerously close to bed got hot Bathroom light didn't work Fire door guard alarm sounding Breakfast staff not very attentive
Hotel is predictable without surprises; reasonable size family room; room newly decorated and furnished; room very clean; convenient car parking; food is good enough.
Hotel is functional and lacks charm. Interior decoration lacks style. Generally unexciting and unimpressive and instantly forgettable. Restaurant food is 'nothing special'. Restaurant lacks atmosphere.
not a lot, but it was clean except the bathroom was a bit smelly/mouldy. Free car parking, good location close to centre.
Bright lights from front floodlights and thin curtains kept us awake. No heating - but they did supply a blanket. Teeny TV. remote didn't work. Poor soundproofing! Feeble shower
Warmth of reception by all the staff
The bath/shower arrangement in room 115 difficult for the older guest to negotiate
Close to the lovely city centre of Cambridge. Nice place to stay for our first night in this area. Good breakfast and helpful staff.
The wifi was good.
Windows didn't open in our room. 114
Friendly Staff. Good breakfast for price paid Free WiFi Quiet bedroom Adequate car parking spaces
Small bathroom A long walk to the centre of town(about 45min)
Warm place, it is close to the station and close to the centre
so much noise during the night
The location The staff were fantastically welcoming and very friendly. The Parking The breakfast
The room was cramped, dated and depressing.. one too many chairs!
Attentive staff, goood traditional Italian food, ckean and effficient rooms. Difficult to find accommodation at this price in Cambridge.
Very comfortable room, nice building, excellent cook, good parking. Not central Cambridge, so quieter, but within easy reach of the historic centre.
Perfect location for the Cambridge Folk Festival. Nice breakfast. Good car park.
Tiny, stuffy room. Minuscule bathroom. Noise from pub next door at closing time.
Staff helpful, breakfast plentiful,, all round pleasant experience. Location was fine for us as we had a family event nearby
Nothing. Location is not central Cambridge so may not suit many travellers.
Great breakfast! The rooms are pretty comfortable over all, but they are very basic. It is not within easy walking distance of the town center, but a bus stop is a few yards down the road. Friendly staff... when you could find them.
Bathroom smelled of mildew. The heat in the room was so unbearable that it was impossible to sleep with the window closed, but the noise from the pub across the street was to loud to sleep well with it open. The curtains were very flimsy, so we woke up with the sun every morning! Except for one morning when we woke up before dawn with the rubbish collection. Breakfast service was slow, but if you are in a rush there is a very complete continental breakfast buffet.
Comfy bed, good breakfast, own car park.
Old fashioned furniture and decor, small shower, drafty double glazing.
Nice hotel clean in public areas, staff very friendly, breakfast was good, but would have been better if was buffet style for english breakfast
Room we booked on line had table & chairs ours didnt, sauna never worked, dust on top of wood of four poster, room too small for the price we paid, not enough sugar, tea or milk, no biscuits.
The staff - friendly, helpful, efficient. The food - the evening meal was delicious and excellent value. The room - incredibly comfy bed. The bathroom - large and beautifully-fitted.
A little far from the centre - but I knew that when I booked.
The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to assist.
A bit of a squeeze to shower.
Been there several times, nice to be remembered. Staff helpful and pleasant .
Stairs could be a problem.
The staff were helpful and attentive. Great to have tea facilities, iron etc.
The room had much on offer but wasn't large enough to contain it all without feeling cluttered and dated. A four poster bed needs space around it, the table and chairs just got in the way while the bathroom was huge. A sauna was unnecessary but we thought we'd try it but gave up trying. Again too much going on. To feel relaxing.
