The hotel is very convenient for the station and city centre, and well served by buses. It is quiet and comfortable. There was a good welcome, an offer of help with the luggage, and the room was comfortable and well equipped. The restaurant is pleasant, and there is a choice of continental or English breakfast - I chose the English on both occasions, and it was of good quality. All in all, an enjoyable stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate and supper was good. The shower in the room that I was allocated on my first night was broken and the room itself was shabby. The manager responded well by moving me to a very nice room with full working facilities.

The location was excellent. The car parking was off street with plenty of spaces. The staff were accommodating and helpful. The rooms were quite small for 2 people. The price was expensive per room compared to other places we have stayed.

Basic hotel in much need of modernisation but comfortable room and quiet location (at the back of the hotel). Overall, I was satisfied with my stay but the hotel's a bit on the expensive side for what it is. Breakfast poor if you don't choose the full English with very limited choice of cold meats, cheese etc although some cereals available. Coffee left on unheated plate, probably overnight as I discovered after pouring a stone cold cup! But quickly remedied by staff.

It was not too fussy and the location was ideal for my business trip. My room was adjacent to a fire exit that had an annoying alarm that bleeped every 5 seconds throughout the whole night and kept waking me up.

We had a warm welcome and help with our luggage. We were also given information about transport. The room was warm and comfortable and the food was generally good. All staff were friendly and helpful. The lemon cheesecake was very dry. The lighting in the bedroom was not very strategically placed. Could have had a light on the desk and one over the headboard of the single bed. More room for towels in the bathroom - maybe a warm towel-rail? Light switch could be in the bathroom so one doesn't disturb partners in the middle of the night!!

It is a very friendly place, most of the staff are related, they are an Italian family and it created a very warm atmosphere. I can't fault the helpfulness of the staff and the efficiency of the hotel. The breakasts were superb, and we ate in for one night and it was a good meal. It was a short busride from the city, and there is a big car park for guests. Very relaxed atmosphere. We were in the front of the hotel and the road was very busy late into the night and early in the morning. I wish we had been given a back room, so I think it would be worth requesting this if you book there.

Convenience for public transport to and from city centre and railway station. Staff courteous. Light airy restaurant for breakfast. Bedroom space cramped. En-suite very small. Bath poor size. Would have been better described as en-suite shower. No guests used the restaurant in the evenings during our four night stay.

“Clean, comfortable and convenient for the town centre. Very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was excellent. Room clean and comfortable with a superb view over Parkers Park. !0 minute walk from railway station but has a large free carpark if you need it. (Most hotels in the city were charging residents up to £16 per night to park). We have stayed at other Best Western hotels and we are very pleased with the standards and the prices that this chain has to offer. Looking forward to our next visit.” Colin, Rochester |
