Comfortable hotel in pleasant surroundings. Close to both the sea and the New Forest. Excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful, altogether an enjoyable break.
The room was spacious and bright, with nice window view to the garden and pleasant table and chairs to sit next to the window. The Christmas decoration at the hotel was very welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and there was a variety to choose from in addition to the full English breakfast, which was plenty and tasty too. The service at the breakfast was good and efficient.
The television in our room was really small for the size of the room.
The location was ideal. Just a few minutes walk and all that you required was available. Also ideally situated for walks in all directions.
The dinner menu still leaves a bit to be desired as well as the cooking. As for the bar, staff decidedly lacking and chose of drinks very limited.
Very spacious, excellent staff who couldn't have been more helpful, and everywhere spotlessly clean.
Fixtures and fittings tired and dated rather than shabby chic, although everything worked.
Comfortable bed. Lovely lounge and dining area.
Front door was difficult to open and other regular customers said it had been like it since last year. Dining tables were numbered, but it did not mean anything, leading to confusion when customers were looking to sit down. Just use the room number as your table number. Vacuum cleaner was on when we were having breakfast, which could have been avoided and was very annoying.
every thing was good.
Friendly and efficient staff, good breakfast, clean rooms, easy car parking.
No free WiFi in the rooms, TV had no info on what was on the channels and being charged for bottled water.
Very spacious room with lovely view. Good communal lounge & bar. Set in lovely surroundings.
Bathroom although clean was a little bit tired and could do with renovating.
Very friendly stuff and great view on a field with animals walking past. Room was very big. Very nice hotel for a short stay.

Good location, close to New Forest and all the things we wanted to do: Motor Museum and Bucklers Hard. Also close to sea for Hengitsbury Head, land train to Mudeford Spit, Ferry to Mudeford Quay. Good beach, pasties etc.
The builders coming to the hotel at 6.45am which we were assured would not happen again.
The rooms where clean and tidy a good size. The staff on arrivel where helpful and friendly as where the rest of the staff. The waitress who served us to are evening meal was verey good and helpfull
The menu in the resturant could have been a bit more veried. And not all people like there food alacarte cookrd

On going work on the roof?from 7.30.noisy.
Staff was very considerate regarding the problems we had with our rental car and made arrangements for us to extend our stay for another night. The lead women or manager was the exception to the excellent staff.
The manager was very rude to us the day we departed for London.
Thought the bedrooms were very tired and tatty looking.
