The exterior promised more than it delivered within...
Christmas decorations were the absolute last word in tasteless tat: absolutely ghastly. The staff member serving breakfast was about as cheerful as the fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse. Checking out and settling the bill, the receptionist never asked whether we'd enjoyed our stay; whether there were any problems... Would not recommend.
Good friendly atmosphere
Great location Comfortable room Very good room rate
Limited choice at bar
Staff friendly helpfull efficient. Hotel in need of total refurbishment.
Dated room yet clean.
Footpaths to the center of Milford, and wooded paths to the salt beds at the entrance to the River Lymington
friendly quiet hotel, away from town but lovely quiet location. Excellent breakfast. Restaurant nicely decorated for Christmas. Very good value, would be first choice when visiting the area next time.
Fantastic value for money as price included evening meal and full English breakfast. Bathroom decor was a little tired but the water was hot and there were plenty of thick white towels.
Comfortable lounge and colourful Christmas decorations gave festive feel despite murky weather outside. Good breakfast at sensible time, not crack of dawn, as with so many places. Interesting artwork provided an enjoyable backdrop to loungr and resteraunt.
Some of the rooms looked a bit 'tired', but all was warm and comfortable for our stay.
It was tired, old fashioned, damp and needs totally updating!
Breakfast was good. Location was excellent. Very nice hotel with everything we needed for a few days stay, we enjoyed ourselves so much we added an extra day!
There was nothing to dislike. Just one point was that the bath mat looked as though it had seen better days.
Comfortable hotel in pleasant surroundings. Close to both the sea and the New Forest. Excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful, altogether an enjoyable break.
The room was spacious and bright, with nice window view to the garden and pleasant table and chairs to sit next to the window. The Christmas decoration at the hotel was very welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and there was a variety to choose from in addition to the full English breakfast, which was plenty and tasty too. The service at the breakfast was good and efficient.
The television in our room was really small for the size of the room.
The location was ideal. Just a few minutes walk and all that you required was available. Also ideally situated for walks in all directions.
The dinner menu still leaves a bit to be desired as well as the cooking. As for the bar, staff decidedly lacking and chose of drinks very limited.
Very spacious, excellent staff who couldn't have been more helpful, and everywhere spotlessly clean.
Fixtures and fittings tired and dated rather than shabby chic, although everything worked.
Comfortable bed. Lovely lounge and dining area.
Front door was difficult to open and other regular customers said it had been like it since last year. Dining tables were numbered, but it did not mean anything, leading to confusion when customers were looking to sit down. Just use the room number as your table number. Vacuum cleaner was on when we were having breakfast, which could have been avoided and was very annoying.
every thing was good.
Friendly and efficient staff, good breakfast, clean rooms, easy car parking.
No free WiFi in the rooms, TV had no info on what was on the channels and being charged for bottled water.
Very spacious room with lovely view. Good communal lounge & bar. Set in lovely surroundings.
Bathroom although clean was a little bit tired and could do with renovating.
Very friendly stuff and great view on a field with animals walking past. Room was very big. Very nice hotel for a short stay.
Size of bedroom and bathroom. Cleanliness. Value for money. Good breakfast. Warm and peaceful stay.
Lack of wifi. (a 'must' these days). Lack of lift.
StAff very helpful &. friendly, clean,spAcious rooms.
No disability facilities . Good price.
Comfortable room. Good breakfast. Plenty of car parking space. Close to shops. Excellent view over the fields from bedroom window.
No wi-fi. Bathroom in need of some t.l.c.
The area and the view from our bedroom. Nice gardens. Excellent breakfast.
Was rather quiet in bar area, some background light music would b e good.
Location. Local eateries. Ease of public transport to Lymington.
View from room. Attitude of one receptionist.
