The room and the four poster!!
Had to wait outside whilst others in front where book in as arrived near midnite ...
The location was very convenient as I had a meeting near by. The reception is 24h so I could arrive later in the evening. The bed was comfortable and the room size very good.
To get to the second floor with luggage and no lift, however the staff in the reception asked for help. The shower had loads of hair in the strainer so it was clogged.
Room was boiling
The room and bathroom were nice and clean. breakfast was of good quality. You have 24/7deskservice so it was easy to come in and go whenever you wanted
The room was very noisy, you could hear everything from the neigbours. we had a room above the smoking area and backdoor, what isnt Nice when you wake up from sigaretsmoke...the diningprices are very high for what you get for the services and food
Staff, Breakfasts, Location (for us), Parking, Setting
Lousy wifi, squeaky bed
Cooked breakfast good.
Very hot stuffy room - very cramped car park. Staff at breakfast although very pleasant were too busy to notice us on our first morning.
The staff and service
Having to pay extra for a first floor room when I am disabled!
The room was very comfortable The staff were friendly and helpful The meals we had were very good
The television did not work most of the time
I loved the service , when i checkked in the receptionist could not find my details and gave me a free upgrade , it was a comfortable hotel and it was nice to sit in the garden with a coffee , it was also nice that there was a bar and the breakfast was superb . Although it was a bit of a walk to town i dont mind that , all in all a great stay .
WiFi was good.
I'm 1.83m tall, but bed was a bit short for me. (heels were "hanging a bit" on end of bed). Outside lights were aimed to lighten building (looks nice!), but for me that was a bit annoying.
Having to call reception to put a mattress protector on the otherwise perfectly made bed
Room was lovely, reception staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful, booking taxis etc. Breakfast was ample :)
Wi-fi strength was intermittent but still worked
Breakfast was good.
I found the hotel to be too hot. There were no lifts and we were on the top floor with heavy bags with no offer of assistance for the bags. the standard was ok but i would place it more as a £50 per night hotel (max). The decor was very out of date and my room was meant to be an executive room and i couldn't really see what was executive. overall if you were paying £50 it would be fair but at £95 it was not good value for money.
Good staff, all friendly and helpful. very good location for our purposes. Evening meal and breakfast were good and well priced. really happy with our stay.
Friendly staff - clean room and bathroom and good food
Clean, efficient and friendly
Furniture cheap and functional but what you would expect for the price.
Food was fantastic, staff were excellent (with 1 exception)
1 member of staff was quite unhelpful, a bit up himself.
Evening £20 meal good value
General dirtiness of carpets
The staff were very helpful friendly at all times.breakfast was excellent
I had to go home!
Nice large clean room and shower.
Breakfast had to be missed as too late at 8 am, did not get it till 8.20 am after sat from 8.02 am. Other hotels nearby has a buffet breakfast ftom 7.30am self service.
The managers welcome.
The managers poor attitude when I approached him with my concerns regarding my stay. I arrived before my partner. I am an openly gay man and take pride in my appearance. A comment made by a member of staff "yeh I think he is" made me feel unwelcome and very insecure. The "executive room" was a poor excuse of basic hotel standards. The dust on the lamp shades by the bed would indicate no dusting took place there since the 60's. During the night there was no manager or supervising body but a 'night porter' in charge of the care of customers. During the night in the room to our right, a party broke out. What was a room for two turned into a party for 6 people!?! Needless to say, insulting, inappropriate, unhygienic, unprofessional and most certainly not worth waisting ur money on. But as I wait for the managers 'investigation' I am sure that aforementioned was purely a prank and we can all laugh and carry on. I fear not.
The hotel was clean and comfortable with great parking, and the staff were extremely attentive and helpful. It's in a quiet residential location with very easy access into the centre of town.
Ideally l;ocated for my business trip. Superb breakfast.
