Breakfast was included in the price. Close proximity to the city centre. There was a party downstairs in the hotel, with loud music until the early hours, so it was difficult to sleep. But would be fine if you were on a night out yourself. The rooms were a lot smaller than expected and old fashioned, with a sink in the bedroom, not in the bathroom. |

Being able to relax on Saturday night Due to a large christmas party the service in the resturant was not up to its usual standard. The meal served to my wife was not what she ordered we were told thet if she wanted what was ordered it would be a further 20 minutes, so decided to eat what was presented. A little disappointing on this front. The waiter did appologise and discounted the meal for us. |

Having stayed at several Hotels in the Southampton area during the last 12 months I found that this was an idea hotel that is close to all business locations The single rooms are far too small and there was construction work taking place on the 3rd floor |

Great Location, lovely view over the park. Very nice staff, great breakfast Rooms although confortable and clean are in need of update - think this may be in process. Arriving back at hotel 1am found large group of younsters hanging around on steps blocking entrance and in no hurry to move out of our way. Very noisy, could here them from our room - think they had function at hotel. Staff should have asked them politly to wait quietly in the hotel lobby area !! |

It was very clean, the breakfast was very good value for money and a good choice.location excellent for the shopping centre The girl on reception when we arrived had an attitude problem,no customer service friendliness at all.made us feel unwelcome on arrival.we then had a problem with the rooms not being together which she made clear was most inconvenient even tho it was the hotels error. |

the bar and the lounge looked pretty good from distance but did not create any athmosphere at all the room smelled from chlorine, the dirt was growing in the corners and close to the walls, the bathroom was mouldy, the shower was not worth calling a shower - the water came thru very slowly. The unfriendly receptionist and waiter |

Convenience to business location. Great Smoked Haddoock on breakfast menu, but portion a lttle small. Staff very helpfull. Being asked to answer 4 questions when in actual fact each question several sub sections. Why not just say it as it really is? I have not read other reviews |

Good gym and pool although sauna and steam room were in changing rooms so not ideal for couples or mixed groups. Central location of hotel at one end of Southampton's main high street overlooking park. Clean rooms with big bathrooms. Incredibly warm throughout...not necessarily a good thing. Almost impossible to sleep as single room very hot and cramped even with window open and fan on. Breakfast waiter officious and unfriendly and whilst the cold foods including fresh croissants were very nice, the choice of hot food was limited and didn't remotely match the menu. |

Breakfast excellent, quiet room and a very convenient location opposite the park. We asked for a separate top sheet as it was too hot for the doona. This was not possible but the staff were very helpful and took the doona out of its cover and we used that. We also had friends staying at the motel on our recommendation and their room was much bigger than ours but the same price. Both standard rooms?? Ours was expensive for what you got. A top sheet would also be a good idea. |
